  1. Couch, easy chair and wheeled ottoman. Fridge is a must as well.
  2. Wise to ask it. Anything odd with a Mooney tail (excepting the design, of course) deserves scrutiny. It's a complex system.
  3. Two Brittain servos, appear to be working fine (pass the pulmonarius vacuum/pressure test--connectors will be wiped with disinfectant prior to shipping). $400+shipping (from 03NC)
  4. You are cleared for either 9 or 27, check the sock.
  5. Wonders will never cease, but six months ago wifey said "Get on Zillow and check out this house!" I did and what struck me first about it was the ginormous hangar. She had decided that it was OK to have one in the backyard, along with a runway (03NC), given that she fell in love with the house. We got 'stuck' in Wilmington at the start of the COVID pandemic during our move, but it turned out fine since we got almost everything there. The area is just fantastic, the weather exceptional, beaches beautiful and access to everything that a big city has without the big city is great. It really is becoming a retirement destination so there is a lot of local competition for retiree's money. One disclaimer, hurricanes, but ya takes the bad with the good.
  6. Regrettably, you have reached the sad reality of a vintage Mooney.
  7. What does the 'no paperwork' mean? I am just curious.
  8. I have a complete doghouse for an E if you are interested.
  9. I have bunches, which ones do you need? PM me.
  10. Damn! I thought they looked vaguely familiar. Lots of automotive stuff in the hangar, makes sense.
  11. I had the same issue with my E. Very, very old discs. A&P said, "Time to think about replacing." Did so and the handling and landing improvements were noticeable. Old discs were hard as rocks. I still have them.
  12. Still cleaning out the hangar. Now I am wondering what these are. The PO literally never threw anything away. My gain in spite of all the detritus--lots of aviation parts and tools, but these have me perplexed.
  13. So we're done here. Bendix mag to the rescue. Who would have thought...
  14. Probably was disabled. The warning LEDs on my MVP-50 drive me nuts.
  15. No argument there. I really wasn't paying attention to the IO vs O aspect, clearly a factor. That said, an E with all parameters correct (baffling, exhaust, fuel, spark, air, etc.) does not run hot. If it is running hot, something is wrong and most likely something with the Mooney specific parts. Good luck with the C.
  16. We can agree to disagree. You're right in saying that these engines run hot, but they seem to run extra hot in Mooneys unless all the Mooney-specific parts (baffling, exhaust, etc.) are right.
  17. Please note, I suggested that it was time to go to the 'big gun' and then noted Maxwell (a big gun, but not the only one). This, as you will discover at the end, is a Mooney problem, hence my suggestion that @ragedrarcer1977 get to a Mooney big gun.
  18. I had never heard it called that (phoenix). Most likely apropos given how often Mooney has gone under and then resurfaced. I thought it was the "Mooney Bird" and it is clearly a graphic depicting Al (and Arthur!) Mooney's initials. Anybody know who originally conceived it? Other than the obvious (Al and/or Art).
  19. Don keeps a low profile. Frankly, I think this has to be looked at 'in vivo' and he is not the only one who could solve this. Speculation is only a bad thing in legal matters, as the OP stated, he is building a case to put before the big gun. I just think it is time for the "big gun'. To look, to analyze and to solve. I've been wrong, we'll see, won't we?
  20. Let's get back to the important tails...
  21. Yes, it is time. Whatever they charge it will be less than the cylinder that you will need to replace if you do not correct this. All you will get here is speculation. I suggest Maxwell, but others exist that can fix this if he is inconvenient.
  22. Final flight of N5976Q. I didn't take any photos in flight, this is the TO video my son took. He also shot the landing, but no one wants to see that N5976Q Final Flight.mp4
