  1. Clean history , looks like 1 owner...
  2. It was geared up in 2004 by current owner , teardown and three blade prop.....Spoke to owner.......Bidding starts at 7000....
  3. I would say someone with the experience of Mr Monroy can wing it and be close enough , I like to think that I am pretty knowledgeable on these things, but I tried to rig my E using the counterweight alignment and flap fairings , and I was 3 degrees off on the flaps....The travel boards make it easy and simple.....Keep it simple..... Rent or borrow the boards and rigging will take about an hour or two.....Its not Rocket science if you have the right tools....
  4. Yes the solenoid is energized by providing a ground , so the solenoid has to get its power to one side of the coil..... That jumper provides the power...
  5. Heres a question .... Do they have Waas approaches down under ??
  6. No dumb questions , just stupid mistakes......The 650 will do all that the 175B will do.....When they remove the 175B , if it has a glideslope remove the KI214 also or the KM72 it has that.....
  7. Good luck trying to organize that one.....If I had a Mooney I would throw in in a heart beat......And the last guy to use it has to pay shipping to the next guy in cue.....
  8. There is so much that it could be , pressure instrument , line to pressure instrument , Check valve in boost pump , engine driven pump , gascolator obstruction , collapsing fuel line , obstructed screen in gascolator ..... I don't like a reading below 2 PSI let alone .5...... I cant remember where the gage tap is in the system , is it at the carb , or off the pump ??
  9. Craig if you have a good relationship with a Mooney shop . they will probably let you use them on the ramp....
  10. Epa is going to be a problem , the amalgam is chock full of mercury.......Blackstone doesn't like it either...
  11. Believe it or not , when shipping large boxes like Flaps and Props , FedEx ground is the least expensive....
  12. The additive will be saw dust and tooth filings from Petes dental office.....
  13. I would replace it with a tie down from a J , gets rid of the big plate , saves about a lb way out in the tail , looks a hell of a lot better and uses the same bolt spacing....
  14. Again Pete , I have nothing to prove to you.....You are the expert..
  15. Also I read the referenced post mentioned by Mooniac , the pressure in that post is dropping to 2 PSI , that is in the Green , .5 is not and its not safe ....
  16. Pl;ease don't listen to Pete about this as he has no clue , the reason you are getting no performance issues is because the engine will run about 20 seconds on the fuel that is in the bowl (carb)....so when you go to zero pressure you are draining the pint or so in the carb , when that's gone the powers gone.....this is not to be taken lightly......If you were injected , you bet your bacon there would be performance issues.... NOBODY KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON UNTIL IT IS LOOKED AT......GET IT LOOKED AT........I don't want to read about you in an NTSB report.....
  17. I changed that arm in my B model to get the extra travel , there is a hole , it was a bitch to get the wrenches into the tail , and I used a bent nose needle nose to walk the bolt out and into the elevator , that bolt is about 4 inches long .....
  18. I ship about 250 packages USPS a year , their two day service between three zones is a third of fedex/ups..... I have never lost one , but I had two that disappeared for 2 to five weeks......in the last 5 years ......I always ship Signature required....
  19. I don't like the zero on the pressure , that is not acceptable , not even a little , Have your A&P do a pressure and volume check on the fuel pump , If you have good pressure at Idle and cruise , you may have a volume issue , perhaps dirt in the screen , perhaps a pump issue with the engine driven pump , but have it checked out , Brian at Doylestown is well versed in Mooneys if you don't already have someone , Also Bob Cameron at South Jersey Regional has Mooney specific experience.....Both very reasonable rates....
  20. Seth send it out to Todd and have it tested and tagged , if it is good 104.00 if it needs an alignment and bulb maybe 200.00 it will ebay for 450 to 550 ... The Green tag was the removal tag....
  21. Yes it is a big deal to remove, the tubing is heavy vinyl and should not need to be replaced....
  22. I would lean towards a new set of rotors , these are overlooked a lot , when they wear they do not wear evenly , and they get a glaze over years of use , that is not conducive to good friction.....If you have a good solid pedal(s) I don't think that it is a fluid or slide issue.....although fresh fluid is a great Idea from preventative maintenance standpppoint....p
