The starter is old if it has a Bendix , if you are having problems , its time to get a Skytec 149NL expensive , but worth it....and you will save 6 lbs to add to your useful load...The pressure gage hardly moves on this setup its normal , sounds like the control surfaces may need to be rerigged , you WILL NEED the TRAVEL BOARDS and it should cost a few hours labor to rig the plane correctly , If the flaps are not out of rig , you may have something in the gear mechanism hitting an aileron link in the belly , there was a bulletin on the type of hardware to use to attach the rods to the bellcranks and J-bar.....

I thought I had lost this , just found it under the rear seat of my F-150....the plane that this came out of was maintained to death!!!! Flaps worked correctly , when I disassembled the plane , had brand new hoses on the system, came out of a 63 C model.....Call Alan 856 419 5209......

I fly it 2300 22 inches 60 rich and get about 160 KTAS at 14. gph ....The extra 5 to 10 knots aren't worth the extra 2 gph , if I pull it back to about 20 inches I can get it down to about 13. and about 150 KTAS .... Not as economical as the Mooney was , BUT if you have never flown a BO , I highly recommend you DONT , you will want one , It is the easiest plane to fly and carries a lot.......as far as my parts business its disappointing that it is a lot more profitable to take em down , than to fix em up.... Its always sad to kill em.....

If the HSI is close to 60 degrees off in slave mode , try unslaving it and see if it holds a heading , if it holds a heading unslaved it is either the Flux valve or the slaving accy....you do not need to overhaul the HSI....just get it repaired......Repairs on King units are usually in the 500 dollar range.... If it gets crazy , I can get you a -07 indicator for about 1500.00 , if it is the KG102A I sell them for about 1000.00 with mod 7 good luck...
