  1. Don, do you have any contact info for MAPA? I tried emails, phone numbers. Nothing! I wanted to join up. Been flying my Mooney N335BB for 9 months. Wanting to get more involved.

No worries if you did. Let me know if I can help you with anything.

The circuit I worked out is for a 14 volt. I am pretty sure I can experiment some and come up with one for 24 volts, but it will take me a little time,

You are aware that my timers do not have an STC, so it will have to be installed as a minor modification. Are you electrically adept, or will you have to have an A&P install it.

I think I can do one for $40

Are you alright with all that?

      Joe,

I am fighting with my own computer. It is stuck doing a system restore. It is the only one I have where I can access my documents. I will get back with you, hopefully soon.

  12. David,

Getting ready for the MAPA meeting. A bunch of us are setting up to have dinner at Cowboy Steakhouse on Friday evening at 7:00PM. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Can you set up the reservation for us, or do I need to do it the conventional way of calling the restaurant.

I have nine people committed, but anticipate it will grow considerably. Last year, there turned out to be about 30 of us.

  14. Don, I'm leaving you this message because I know you fly a 231.

I have been asked to fly with someone in his 231. I have a decent amount of J time but no K time. I know there are some significant operational and handling differences differences due to the larger, turbocharged engine and I've been reading about those.

But I have been looking for a POH to use as a personal reference to familiarize myself with the model a bit more. I was wondering whether yours had been scanned and, if so, whether you would be willing to share it with me. If the answer is no,  to either question, no problem - I'm hesitant to share my scanned manuals with others also.

I managed to get all 10 of the POHs (all for K models, different serial numbers) loaded onto my drop box. I managed to test it with a trial email, and it appeared to load at least one of them. I don't know what it would do if I tried to put all of them on one email.

I want to profusely apologize. When I read your message the other day, I didn't have time to deal with it right then, so I decided to come back to it. Unfortunately, I completely forgot about it until tonight.

This is complicated a lot because my laptop went kaput a few weeks ago. I replaced it with one that is loaded with Windows 10, and it is driving me nuts trying to figure out how to get to stuff and how to do stuff I used to do without a lot of effort on Win 7.

Anyway, I have my Mooney flash drive plugged in and stumbled around and have it opened up. It lists the maintenance manual and about 10 POHs, among other things.

My new laptop gave me a year free of Dropbox, which I have installed. It appears likely that I can pick up each of the POHs and send them to my drop box. But I'm not sure what to do then.

I apologize. Apparently my burning and checking for accuracy skills are lacking. I will be glad to try again, and try "media mail". I assume that is a class of USPS mail. I have never asked anyone how to utilize that.

Alternately, if you have some way to e"ship" large files, I would try that as well. I just need help in how to do these new-fangled things.

I have the factory's flash drive with all the maintenance, parts and POHs for the K's. I would be glad to send you a CD/DVD of them if you would like. They are too big to go on my email accounts.

Just send me your address and I will burn a copy and mail it.
