Last Friday (for the second time) my nose wheel collapsed during towing. The two actuator struts of the nose wheel broke from the wishbone lock. This was during towing and it collapsed during the braking action. The main gear was out of the lock also, but did not collapse. There is no damage in the actuator area. We have a lot of questions. 1. How can the wishbone break? 2. How is it possible that when the nose gear collapse, that the main gear is out of lock? This all started when my FBO forced my gear through the limits (2 years ago) with damage to several gear actuating parts.

Hello, My name is Pieter and I cross Europe approx. 10 times a year from EHRD (Rotterdam) to LFMF (Fayence) in the south of France. When I was working I flew my Ovation 2 from England to Poland, Austria and over the Alps to Verona. Luckily I bought my Ovation in Austin Tx with TKS, which in my few is really necessary in Europe when you fly IFR. Actually new in this community, but already flying in Europe since 2008. Is there a European meeting in 2023? Regards Pieter

Yesterday my standard engine driven vacuum pump on my Ovation 2 went down. What would be my best option? New one of same make and model or check if repair is possible?
