  3. Hi folks, Just to let you know that I have successfully located the regulator and adjusted the vacuum down. It's a contortionist exercise to reach and it's with finger tips! I suspect that in a proper adjustment, many of the wiring could be disconnected to give a better access, and most definitely required during the filter change. Thanks for your help. F.
  4. Thank you, I will try again tomorrow.
  5. I have to say I couldn't find the regulator behind all the wires etc. does it have to be opened up somehow to be reached? thnks for your help Fred.
  6. Hi Eric, the SMM describes just this: What is the "Bending tab" in your picture and which screw is to be turned? Thanks for your help.
  7. Thank you for your replies. I wonder if the high vacuum could be also because I got a G5 to replace the HSI? Less equipment to share the vacuum with? The Artificial Horizon being alone to take the full vacuum?
  8. Hi to all, Are there any illustrated doc or video or discussion thread explaining how to adjust the vacuum suction? I believe through the regulator? mine is indicating too high on the warning messages. it's a 1989 M20J model. your input will be greatly appreciated. thx.

  11. Each time you cross borders or cross waters (e.g. France mainland to Corsica), a flight plan is needed (VFR). I flew from south of France to Ireland last summer, with stopover in the UK. A friend of mine, flew from UK to Morocco. The same length journey in the US would be a bore. Here, you do have to work out 4 countries, 2 continents paperwork. But very much all worth it!
  12. Hi there, I am about to go for a G5 HSI upgrade to the KCS55A setup. If anyone interested in purchasing the setup, let me know. it would come out of a 1989 J model setup on the KFC150 AP. all the best. F.
  13. On my 89 J model, the pressure transducer is rare piece unfortunately. It’s a different part number.
  14. Hi group, Has anyone installed the EI FP 5L with the Fuel Pressure add-on. If so, would it come with its own Fuel pressure transducer as part of the FP-5L or is there an extra transducer to purchase? If so, would you know what is the reference of that transducer? Thanks for your input F.
  15. Thank you for your input PT20J. I have looked in ebay and there is one available. In fact, they seem to be in a couple. Which made me wonder. I only need one, and why would there be 2. One fuel and one Oil maybe? Are they the same references. Thanks
  16. I am going by the conclusion of the mechanic, but I’ll mention this aspect anyhow.
  17. Hi all, I have an inop fuel pressure sensor which will need to be replaced. However there are some delays in procuring the right part. Is there any other way to get Fuel Pressure reading at a reasonable cost that will last me a few years until a panel upgrade can be done? it's a 1989 J model with the original panel. Thanks for your help.
  18. Hi there, Where able to find a replacement cable? where did it come from at the end? Thanks
  19. Hi Everyone, Anyone would know where I can get my hands on the cable system needed for the emergency release of the landing gear? Thank you for your help Fred
  20. Hi all, I am looking at adding en engine monitor and remove all old stuff. I started looking at the JPI EDM 900 as it can act as primary allowing for removal of the old gauges, including the fuel gauges. However, I wonder of the Dynon Skyview HDX 7inch couldn't be put in and act as EMS primary? Has anyone done this? Thanks Fred
