  1. Thanks all for your input and suggestions. I finally got the 3/16" Clear windshield from Great lakes aero products (GLAP) and they shipped via YRC freight. Installed at E&E Aviation, Hooks Airport in 2-3 days. Contact Raymond Villalba, he's plain spoken, down to earth, honest and very helpful.
  2. Sure enough, it was just trapped pressure in the line. Pushing the mixture forward relieved it. Much appreciate the insight!
  3. Thanks guys, I will surely check into it and update here. Much appreciated.
  4. The fuel pressure gauge normally goes back to zero when the engine is shut down . Now it remains at 23 psi after shut down. With the engine running, if I turn the fuel boost pump on, it goes up to 24-25 psi. Off, it goes back to 23 psi. Can anyone shed some light on this? The engine runs normally thru' all phases of ground/flight ops. Thanks!
  5. This is great, much appreciated, I'll definitely try them.. they also have distributors locally. Will keep you posted. Thanks for the help!
  6. Thanks for the reply bud, yeah, it's absurd to pay 40-60% of the price of something for shipping.
  7. Thanks buddy, I'll definitely give Maxwell a call.
  8. Needing to replace the original windshield on my '77 M20J. Shipping cost seems absurd- GLAP and other suppliers are quoting between $250 to $400 FOR SHIPPING!. 1) Can someone recommend options for shipping to Houston, Texas and what your experience has been? 2) Also, do you know a good shop to perform this job in Houston/surrounding? Would much appreciate the help. Thanks!
  9. Just received shipment back from AeroMotors LLC $500 + return shipping label $15. They received on a Monday, and shipped back to me on Thursday the same week. Good people there, and the pump looked like brand new when I received it. Installed by A&P just fine and tested. One point to mention to the A&P is that Aeromotors said that if your fuel lines are hard piping, then be careful during installation that the hard piping/fittings and the mounting screws to the aircraft frame do not fight each other and put the small pump shaft in a bind inadvertently. AeroMotors can explain this better to you, Thanks all!
  10. Thanks for all the comments guys! These are not available any more, someone got them! Much appreciate the feedback. I wont be making the STL file available, due to liability concerns among other things. Cheers!
  11. All 4 of the air deflectors on my '77 M20J were cracked and falling apart, these are a set of 4 I had 3D printed from MakeXYZ, after some reverse engineering. Made them stronger in ABS plastic, better thickness and in the vent areas and corners, so they won't crack. I can spare 2 if anyone is interested. FCFS, just send me prepaid shipping label online. You will have to lightly sand them and remove any loose strands, fibers etc and paint to match. Not PMA certified, just doing this as a favor for folks here. Will I get in trouble?
  12. Jimmy Garrison at Kestrel Airport was courteous, honest (to a fault) and went far beyond expectations on my purchase. He made sure the transactions were fair (would not accept above asking price and got most of my pre-buy items taken care of by Seller, set up the Escrow, closing and most everything else). Also set us up with one of the best flight instructors Bob Cabe, who works for him, for transition training. Both are good, down to earth, Mooney-lovin' Texans to a fault.
  13. Byron, thanks for the heads up! When I spoke to Andy at Aeromotors, he said 2-3 weeks initially, but when asked about expediting, he said as long as I sent a prepaid shipping sticker, they could turn it around and ship it back in a week or so. Hopefully they come thru' although I'm not in a rush. For a $500 price, I'm willing to wait a little. I'll keep you guys posted on this thread. Thanks for all the help!!
  14. Certainly will Carusoam, much appreciate the welcome, I feel at home here.
