  1. Just conducting a bit of a survey on the difference between max/cruise climb. I'm a brand new owner of a 1979 M20K and wondering how the community decides to climb. Obviously the advantages of cruise climb are going to be best forward speed, longer time to altitude, and reduced wear and tear on the engine. So if you have a massive tailwind and you want to get the push... it makes since to NOT cruise climb... and vise versa for a headwind. But what I'm really trying to determine is if the reduced strain on the engine for the climb is significant or in the margins. Thanks!
