  1. I used 4892 liters (1292 US Gal) for the trip from Belgium to Australia. Total flight time was 67 hrs for 10800 NM. I need to check but I assume that we need an additional 600 US Gal from Belgium to the East Coast of the US.
  2. map of the journey from the US to Australia....
  3. Yes the routing via Europe is safer and can be done without any additional fuel tank although I would recommend one to avoid multiple landings in some more challenging countries. I have installed the fuel line already to connect a ferry tank that would fit on the rear seats.
  4. Yes it is still available. One person is interested in the US. I have provided all the cost for a shipment via container.
  5. Yes he does...... by the way I am not really Australian.... I am Belgian with a Australian passport !!
  6. Hello Kevin, Me sending you cash when selling my aircraft..... that is an interesting concept !!! I have looked at the crossing via the Pacific as it will be a nice trip to do..... and I will have done a round the world trip...... but it means going up through Philippines, Russia..... as there is no way to have enough fuel to go across. The longest leg will be more than 10 hrs of flight. A friend did a ferry trip from the US going across the pacific and his longest flight was 14 hrs. I have installed fuel line for a ferry tank and it think we can fit a 80 gallons tank which will not be enough. I also believe that the fun is to enjoy the trip and not be 14 hrs in a cockpit above the ocean !! but that is me ....
  7. Hello JM, Yes the M22 is still for sale. Sorry for my late replay. Yves
  8. Hello JD, you can contact me via email if you prefer. My email is : yves.delnatte@me.com Will be happy to help if I can Yves
  9. Hello, Yes I send my engine to the US for overhaul. Not an easy exercise as Lycoming does not support the engine anymore. Turbocharger is also a issue as no shops want to touch it. I am working a using the turbocharger installed on the Lycoming TIO 541 E1C4 which is a fully supported unit. My engine was also very good on the compression but very old and found that the main bearings were in a pretty bad shape. It was time for the overhaul. Regards, Yves
  10. Hello Chris, I am looking for 150,000 US$. Engine has been overhauled with 160 hr since overhaul. TT is around 1600 hrs. Regards, Yves
  11. I will let you know..... so far a lot of interest but no commitment or at very low price. I am looking at flying the M22 to New Zealand where I will residing for the next couple of years.... I am happy to consider serious offer but it needs to be sensible and fair for the condition of the aircraft and the money I spent to keep it as it is.
  12. Hello Django, thank you for your interest in the Mooney M22. I have sent you a message on your account.
  13. Hello, I do not have a photo of the fifth seat but is a small seat more for a children than an adult. I most of the time keep it removed to store luggages. Please find a photo with the passenger door open. It opens by folding it up.
  14. I am looking for a new home for my Mooney M22. Aircraft based in Australia but fitted with necessary fuel line to add ferry tank. Excellent condition. Always been hangared. 150 hr since complete overhaul of the TIO 541 A1A engine. 1600 hr TT. Two Nav/Comm. King 525a system with HSI and slaved compass. JPI EDM 900 engine monitoring system installed as primary. Garmin 330 GTX ES transponder. Please contact me if interested.
  15. Grand Merci.... vous êtes aussi propriétaire d'un Mooney .... au Canada ?
  16. When I go up it is between 15,000 and 18,000 ft. Cabin noise is acceptable not more noisy than any other similar single engine aircraft.
  17. Engine was overhauled by Devine Airport Group. Pressurisation system working ok. System is quite simple with the turbo feeding the cabin. Regulation through two outflow valves through the rear bulkhead. Valves have been overhauled and recalibrated by the manufacture in the US. Max differential pressure is 4.2 PSI with a cabin altitude of 8,000 ft at 24,000 ft (max ceiling).
  18. Hello to all of you....... A few more words on the M22. Aircraft was repainted from bare metal in a small paint shop close to London in 1992. The M22 has always been hangared and the paint still looks very nice. Polished every year for the last 20 years !! Engine overhauled in the US. Project completed in 2016. Long project but fully documented. Engine has now around 150 hrs since overhaul and runs like a dream. I tried to keep the aircraft as original as possible. Installed a EDM 900 as primary to avoid to be grounded in any problems with the old gauges. All still running ok. Also installed a new Garmin 330 ES transponder to be complying with the latest requirement in Australia. I know that there is M22 in South Africa. I was in contact with the owner a few years ago. The aircraft did not fly for around 20 years now. One M22 also in Switzerland. A few photos taken this afternoon (except the one in the air) ....
  19. another photo when I went flying north of Western Australia last month.
  20. Hello, I wrote about some interest for a Mooney M22. I am the owner of the M22 in Australia. Aircraft was originally registered in the US as N7719M. My father flew the aircraft to Belgium in 1974 and I flew the aircraft to Australia in 2000. I have registered the aircraft in Australia since 2003. (VH-YVE) If interested in the aircraft please let me know Regards, Yves
