About Me

I grew up in an aviation family- my father campaigned two different Monocoupes, a 90AW, and a 110 Special, flying his airshow aerobatic routine “4 1/2 Gs in 4 1/2 Minutes” on the airshow circuit for thirty years. I helped restore, maintain, and eventually fly these historic airplanes.

I hold FAA Commercial Pilot and Airframe & Powerplant Certifications. I have thirty years of professional experience in aviation and aerospace design, maintenance, fabrication, and restoration. My career spans line maintenance of flight school aircraft to restoration of antique airplanes, to the design of flight deck human/system interfaces for a major commercial aircraft manufacturer.

Currently I am the Marketing Product Analyst for Dynon Avionics. I am responsible for applying my aviation and airplane expertise to influence the company's new product introduction strategies. My previous roles with Dynon include Certification Engineer, and Technical Support Specialist.

My hobbies include keeping my wife happy, raising four children (now all attending college or graduated), and building my next airplane- a Vans RV-6. My previous airplane was a Pitts Special S-1E, which I used for regional aerobatic competition... 20 years ago. I am looking forward to flying again!
