    Anyone installed the wonderful Whelen OR 500 & OR 650 LED nav/strobe lights on a J model? If so, how did you get it signed off in the log book? It seems they are STC'd for the Mooney, all except the J model. An IA will not sign it off because of that. The only option I'm told is to get a DER to sign it off which can/will cost several hundred to a couple thousand dollars. Suggestions?

    Would like to know if the KNS 80 is still available. I just lost the nav/gs on mine . I'm not quite ready for an upgrade yet. Would like to keep flying. Thanks in advance for a reply 309-287-8899 (text or call)
