  1. I will definitely “buy in”. That will come close to completing the LED conversion!
  2. Thank you for continuing to keep this information and discount up to date. I just ordered one and discount is still active. @DanM20C I really appreciate you keeping us safer in the air.
  3. Hank -War eagle. The plane will be based at kmgm. I have two boys at AU. thanks for the feedback on the P2. We will strongly consider this option as all fixed gear to this point. Once we have the plane home and if we go with it we will definitely give feedback. Aviotoreb and Warren.huisman thanks for the user feedback.
  4. I have seen a few mentions of these items on the MS site. But could not find an in depth discussion. After looking at the respective company websites the products appear to be pretty solid (but that’s why the marketing guys put it on the websites). Is there much experience with the aithre O2 monitor with or without also using the CO monitor (either the installed “edot” or the portable)? https://aithreaviation.com/collections/all Same question on the P2 audio advisory. With the modern NC headsets I would think a system that alerts though the headset would be superior. https://www.p2inc.com/audioadvisory.asp I still don’t have a plane, but hopefully soon. My OCD and concerns for safety ( CO, hypoxia, and gear up are major avoidable problems from reading here and other published information) have made these two items interesting to me. If you use them do you like them? Are there other items similar that you would recommend? Thank you
  5. I do not have much input on the Tesla thread portion of this post. But I would like to thank you guys for the encouraging words on Mooney airplanes. I am continuing my pursuit of putting one in my own hanger. In regards to the Tesla information it is very entertaining to read.
  6. As a potential new plane owner how would this news influence all the current owners if you were looking to purchase? The basis of the question is how many parts need to come from the factory for routine maintenance or common repairs?
  7. Thanks carusoam. I did look at the other LLC threads. And kortopates you point is key for my situation as there will be another pilot so liability is the main issue. As most everyone points out on MS they aren’t bulletproof but it appears it does lesson the liability if you are not the pilot at the time of a mishap. thanks for the overall budget input. I had looked at the numbers and came up with a similar budget for overall costs (25-30k as new pilot so higher insurance) with a reserve of 10k for unexpected repairs. You guys are a wealth of knowledge.
  8. LDI thank you for this post. I’m also new to the site and looking to get in to a Mooney. You have saved me a lot of time with this post. Thanks to everyone for the great information. A question not asked was ownership structure. This will be my first owned plane (not rental) and am curious if most owners structure an LLC for their planes?
