  1. Thanks, all. Yes, I have pdf versions on the parts manual and service manual. I can’t determine the answer from those sources (or have yet to find it).
  2. Here are a few pictures from today. You can see the lapping, looking from the front of the belly, back. The nose wheel gear doors are visible in the two images, for reference. I flew and confirmed CO entering up from the trim wheel, particularly on the ground today. No issue in cruise.
  3. It is a 1978 J model. I have not seen the tape. What is it and where can I get some? Going back to EricJ’s question about panels being installed in the correct orientation, what is the correct orientation for the two panels that extend from the cowling (under the exhaust pipe on the passenger side) and back to the belly? The on on the pilots side is lapped over the smooth belly panel (although has wear marks from previously being lapped under) while the passenger side is lapped under. I can take a picture tomorrow, if helpful.
  4. Thanks N201MKTurbo. I see the cover in the parts manual, and mine is missing. I’ll need to replace that. Thanks carusoam. Exhaust and muffler were rebuilt in Feb by Aerospace Welding, but I will do as you suggest. I see increased readings (and get an alarm) on rollout, sometimes in the flare, but need to check readings on departure. My hypothesis is that angle of attack has something to do with getting CO in the cabin. No issues in flight with the heat on or off.
  5. Also, I have the monitor hanging near the floor cabin vent, and it is possible the two issues - air intrusion around trim wheel and CO, are unrelated, although the SCAT hoses are also new.
  6. The CO monitor is a Drager PAC 6500. I trust the readings. The air is intruding not from a seam in The floor - they are all taped - but rather up from the square opening that the trim wheel chain penetrates through the floor. I have a one piece, smooth belly skin, and things look appropriately installed. It, of course, was off, during annual, and I also had he landing gear actuator services. I’ve looked through the parts manual, but don’t see any seals that could have been missed. Anyone have any pictures with the belly pan off or know of any seals that could have been missed? Thanks for all the help.
  7. I purchased my ‘78 J model a little over a year ago and had it through annual for the first time, as owner, earlier this year. Immediately after annual, I noticed a breeze coming in around the trim wheel. During annual, I also purchased an electronic CO detector. During normal flight, CO levels are 2-3 ppm, but after landing, levels rise to >30 ppm and trigger the alarm. I don’t know CO coming in the cabin is new, as I did not previously have an electronic detector, but feel that the air entering around the trim wheel is new, as I don’t recall noticing it prior to annual. Any one have ideas or advice?
