  1. Hi guys, Iam looking for an Acclaim Ultra with A/C preferably 2018/2019 and NDH. Please let me know if you know of one that might be for sale. Thank you, Fernando Paez
  2. Good morning. Thank you. Do you know if the other Oil Port to spray Oil in the Exhaust Valve Guide area could be added when doing a Top Overhaul for instance? Regards, FP
  3. Good morning Guys, I understand the newer Acclaims Type S and Ultras have Continental TSIO-550-G5B which has a 2200 Hr TBO. Older Acclaims Type S have only 2000 Hr TBO. I heard that older engines were having some problems and in 2011 Continental and Mooney determined the oil breather tube could be blocked and issued a Service Bulletin to resolve issue. Then in 2015 Continental incorporated a cylinder modification to include another oil port that spray oil in the exhaust value guide area giving the engine more time between overhauls. Does anybody know if when TBO is due on an older Acclaim you could replace the Continental Engine for the newer 2200 Hr TBO one? Happy New Year!
  4. Good evening, Has anyone upgraded to Synthetic Vision on their G1000 Mooney and could you share your experience and cost? Thank you, Fernando Paez
  5. Thank you all for your response. I have filed the survey for the book Those Remarkable Mooneys... Hopefully they will print it again...
  6. Wow! Thank you. Is the Book Those Remarkable Mooneys still available new?
  7. Good morning Any suggestions on a good book about Mooney and it's history. Thank you, Fernando
  8. Thank you for your response. Valuable information Regards, Fernando
  9. Thank you for your response. https://www.diamondaircraft.com/en/private-pilots/safety/ Here is a link to what I read. Pretty amazing what they did on safety. This is a safety Video about the DA62 it is really worth watching. After watching you will see that the DA62 is a pretty amazing airplane, unfortunately I think it is ugly...haha. And Athony going back to your question I would love to have a Mooney Acclaim. Two things make me think twice. Knowing if there is going to be parts to take care of its maintenance know that the factory shut down and what happened to Mark. I am almost positive that I saw that airplane at the Mooney Plant when I visited it in late April of last year. Reading about what happened to it on the news impacted and made me feel me pretty bad. Thank you, Fernando
  10. Thank you for your response. Did not know that Mooneys also have their fuel between the spars. That is good to know. I guess that in Marks case what did not help him was that the Acclaim flipped over during the accident. I agree with you that there is probably not a fuel tank or braided hose that can withstand that. Another question, is Mooneys Safety Record similar, lower or higher than other Retractable GA airplanes? Regards, Fernando
