  1. Still valid contact info, shipped the broken one to them today.
  2. @shawnd thanks for this! I’m thinking about changing my tail number and googled the original tail number to see what it originally looked like and stumbled upon this page! S/N 25-1077 was N252YG from the factory but the previous owner changed it to N944Y. Fun find!
  3. Replaced the ki256 with a gi275 to talk to kfc150, removed vacuum system... then speed brakes didn’t work. Engine driven vacuum pump went back on, speed brakes worked again. Left the heavy electrical stby vac pump out of the plane.
  4. @LANCECASPERgood point to emphasize, old strobe power supplies were removed... the wire bundle leading to the left strobe power supply, labeled JK-LSO4A has 3 wires, one white and two black (negative and ground). Where is the the other end of the negative/ground wires, somewhere under the panel? New whelen strobes installed and working, but not connected to a synch wire.
  5. Did anyone have success repurposing the strobe negative/ground wires as a synch wire? I looked under the panel and couldn’t figure out the wires capthaak was able to disconnect and use in that manner.
  6. Slightly different option - gi275 replaced the ki256, aspen E5 with acu replaced the ki525a, so bypassed the ea100. Good integration with existing kfc150. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I have a kfc150 setup with ki256 and ki525a. For feasibility of install, I am wondering if I can replace the ki256 with the gi275 for the attitude input to the autopilot, then the aspen e5 to replace the ki525a. Perhaps this would preclude the need for an ea100? More bang for your buck than 2gi275’s or aspen and a g5... but not sure if it’s doable.
  8. I purchased/used this for my first oil change... still made a mess but hope to make less of a mess next time. M20k with -mb1 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. I have the cell phone ready to text back the fraud alert system for our citi doublecash mc then swipe the card again. If we fill up before the flight and get gas at our destination, the change in zip codes in the short duration flags the charge. True, Amex always goes through (it’s also in my wallet) but with the citi doublecash it’s worth the 2% back to me... and their fraud alert system has helped us with actually fraudulent charges in the past. 10. Waiting on a quote for the KI300/KA310 and if it’s reasonable I plan on the install. The KI256 had electrical issues with the autopilot so using a “loaner” while I wait for another quote. First quote for an Aspen 1000 Max and EA100 install was just shy of 30k and out of the current budget. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
