Sorry to hear you have to sell. I wish I could buy it back from you. I really miss it. I flew it to all the states in the map below in the 20 years I owned it. The trick to the altitude hold is to set it, and then adjust the trim to nose down till it holds the set altitude. Once trim is set correctly it does a good job. It also adds a few knots to airspeed by reducing the drag on the tail.

I have two bottles of welding Oxygen that I used before selling my Mooney. I have an adapter that lets me fill the portable O2 from the welding bottles. Did it for 20+ years, never a problem.

When I owned the airplane, I had to have the switch adjusted several times. Coming out of Key West about 10 years ago the gear would not come up at any speed. I had it adjusted to about 70 MPH. I would bring the gear up pretty early...

I hope you enjoy the airplane. I hated to part with it. Over the 20 years that I owned it I flew ocean to ocean and from Maine to Key West, and everywhere between. I even flew into Flagstaff.. Richard
