  1. Thanks for posting a link to our site... it has pictures and details. The unit pairs with a mobile device via Bluetooth and the data is streamed after each flight via the mobile device's data connection (cellular or wifi).
  2. We works with any engine monitors with an RS-232 output. Yes files can be exported in CSV file format but most opt to use flightdata.com for archiving and visualization as it's free and can also auto forward to 3rd party providers like Savvy.
  3. It's really about wireless data capture and streaming. The app is a bonus to allow in flight visualization for those with engine monitors that have limited displays.
  4. Does your plane have a JPI EDM 800 or 900 series engine monitor? Would you like your aircraft to have wireless data logging and free data streaming to the cloud? We need a plane in the LA area this week for a project, and the owner will be provided with a FREE BlueMAX installation. Please email me ASAP if you are interested: gavin@flightdata.com Thanks!
  5. Thanks for the information. I will check it out. Given that Garmin is no longer supporting the 480, will I be up a creak without a paddle if it turns out that one of the pins is damaged or should a shop be able to repair the connector?
  6. Hi Eli, what model Mooney do you have? I need to do an engine setup to my Tsio-520 and from my experience about 1 in 1000 mechanics have any clue on how to properly get it done. The Mooney “experts” I’ve dealt have completely fouled up my setup and now I need to start at square one.
  7. Anyone have suggestions for a shop in SoCal where we can have out Rocket worked on? We need someone that we can trust to troubleshoot both Mooney and Rocket specific issues. Thanks.
  8. Hi All, Ever since I had my GTX345 installed, I've been having issues with our 480. I don't think it's seated properly and we keep getting a "Altitude encoder communications failure" message. Anyone know of a shop in southern California that has experience troubleshooting connection issues in 480's?
  9. Unfortunately, we have not yet set up FlightData.com to take JPI files. I will let you know if that changes.
  10. Thanks for the feedback. I included the old name as many people are aware of the name... it had something close to 5000 users before we changed the name and only about 60% were cirrus. But we agree that’s why the company name has been charged to FlightData.com as it better represents the nature of the site. As to privacy, all of your data is private, we only share sample flights with the approval of the data owner. You will have a ubique log in and you will control your data. Finally in regard to compatibility, we can configure the site to any type of data file that your package spits out. In fact we already support a number of engine monitors. What do you have in your aircraft? Does it support data download? I will say that our primary objective at this point to to gain access to Mooney G1000 data files as operators of those aircraft have the most to gain given the full integration of data and the amount of data collected.
  11. We have yet to receive any log files from Mooney operators. If you are interested in learning more check out the sample log data uploaded from operators of other supporter aircraft types here: https://flightdata.com/shared.php Having tracked your engine data will go a long way when it come time to sell and it’s free. Let me me know if you have any questions.
  12. Thanks for the help is solving the mystery! This marvelous piece of technology might be why our Hobbs doesn’t work.
  13. I am looking forward to getting our GEM up and running properly so that I can to a proper lean check. I'm guessing either an injector swap or GAMI's will be in order, but once done, I look forward to running LOP. We also have a T210 that we run exclusively LOP without issue. Typical cruise power setting on that bird is 30" 2450RPM and 15.7GPH with TIT at about 1590F. It's probably about 10+KTS slower than running ROP but we love the economy. For the Mooney, it's about gaining payload as much as about lower cost per mile.
  14. interesting.... the plot thickens... anyone else?
