  1. I was on your same shoes last year. Honestly, I got tired of waiting for the Aerocruze to be approved for Mooneies. I decided to go with the GFC500 and haven’t looked back. The most economical route is to do the G5’s with your IA or installer, then have a shop install the GFC500. For what I’ve seen, the Aerocruze kits are shipping incomplete, I saw a post last week on here talking about incorrect aileron linkages and Duncan is providing zero support for it. 2. We seen this before, this is due to improper wiring. Some installers are very very sloppy when it comes to crimping pins. Have a knowledgeable shop or installer verify the wiring at the GMC 500 connector and at the switch itself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Garmin has only granted permission to dealers to use their STC. You would need to find a dealer who is comfortable with your work to sell you the brackets, and give you access to their manuals. Unfortunately, not many dealers are willing to work with owners when it comes to Garmin stuff. The GFC500 is worth every penny. I have one in my C model and love it. 4. I would recommend leveling the airplane and completing the calibration that way. You can’t account for panel tilt if you input the degrees from rivet line. Below is my set up, this is what calibration looks like with aircraft level vs what rivet line showed with aircraft off jacks, and how it looks flying. Hope this helps.
  5. That looks like your Lo/Hi vacuum sensor. That line should be connected to your vacuum system, otherwise you’ll get a low vacuum light on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Try Airwerks located in SFB. The shop owners are A&P/IAs and Mooney owners/ pilots. https://www.airwerksmx.com Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Your best option is to install it on the Avionics shelf in the back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. I don’t have what you are looking for but, I’m on the process of redoing my instrument panel. I had the cad file cut out of clear acrylic first, corrected measurements on auto cad and then sent it to the shop to get it cut.. Sendcutsend will cut the panel out of acrylic for $85 thats with shipping. I hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Such a small world. I actually got to see the installation on your airplane. I took mine in for IFR cert not long ago and your was there being worked on, they mention the owner was out of ORL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. What shop did you use for the installation? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Does anyone have CAD drawing of instrument panel for 1969-1970 M20 they can share? I’m doing dual G5 upgrade and would like to do one complete panel. TIA Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I was extremely excited about the Aerocruze 100. Unfortunately that candle has been turned off by Duncan and B/K, the support from Duncan was very unprofessional and B/K has no interest in this product. The price went up too, it’s close to $7000 without installation. I have the opportunity to get a GFC 500 with pitch trim for $12K installed. I’m tired of waiting and being fed lies by sales personnel who just want us to keep a dream alive, perhaps one day we will have more options for our aircraft but I might not be around to even see those options so I rather just go with what’s out there and proven to work. I know Garmin has had a few issues with their AP but at least they jump on the wagon and get them resolved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. The attached document will show all supported GPS. I don’t think a tablet will work but some Garmin portables will. Hope this helps. https://www.bendixking.com/content/dam/bendixking/en/documents/document-lists/downloads-and-manuals/TT-186-Vizion-PMA-Approved-GPS-Manual.pdf Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Has anyone placed an order with Duncan aviation for the Aerocruze 100 autopilot? If so, did they supply the installation paperwork yet? I would like to have a look at the installation manual if possible. Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
