  1. I have 2 G5 , replaced both DG and AI , connected to GNS 400w. Heading bug works great with Accuflight, Accutrack nulls at 2 degrees left of Garmin course. VORs do the same thing. .... So I need some adjustment. intercept is not effective. If you get on the 2 deg to the right of course and flip it on it will help you stay there. If accutrack in on and you turn on the accuflight to use heading bug to assist as others have posted,, it starts a left turn. turn it off and back to tracking course. turn off the accutrak and heading bug works fine. Frankly I can do a much better job of intercepting by hand or with the heading bug than the accutrak. anyone know of user manuals or install/calibration manuals for accutrak accuflight? DC
  2. I installed the G5 in my 65 E model . accuflite and accutrac , the heading bug drives the accuflite and the Garmin 400w drives the accutrack , Or throw the switch and the old Narco vor drives the accutrac. Like the manual says it holds, not intercept but ... I really wanted my heading bug, and was relieved it worked. dc
  3. I just took a test flight with my new installation of a pair of G5s in my M20E, one came with GAD29 set up as the HSI and the other was for Attitude indicator. The navigator is a 400w. It went into the space vacated by the Narco ADF. I will ask the shop if they know about separate selection of GPS . I did not see it in the configuration mode but I was not looking for that. Both can be toggled to the other instrument without loss of displayed data. I think it must be some kind of daisy chain to the 400w. We could not display my narco VORs on the HSI so it is a dedicated gps instrument. Is the desired multiple GPS input capability so that there is redundancy for failure or what is the operational need for the second gps input? ( I am just getting my first and now I may want two :-) ) DC
