  1. I’m selling my half share in a 1965 Mooney M20E based at KLWM in the Boston area. Asking $35k OBO. I’m simply not flying enough these days to justify ownership due to work/family commitments. It would be great to sell it to someone on this forum as I've learned a lot here. This plane is highly equipped for IFR cross country flying with a GNS480 WAAS GPS, S-Tec 50 autopilot with altitude hold, ADS-B In/Out, engine monitor, fuel flow monitor, Stormscope, turbonormalizer, and oxygen. It will have a fresh annual, expected to be completed in early May.

This plane had a single owner since the 1970s before we purchased it in 2019, has always been hangared, and has been well maintained at the same shop for decades (which we also use now). I’ve had a great experience with my partner, who tends to fly 50-75 hours per year. We’ve never had any issues with scheduling. The plane lives in a T-hangar at KLWM that costs $180/month.

  2. We worked with Hildt Aviation in Bennington, VT and had a positive experience. Hildt was recommended to us by someone else on this site. Jamie was a pleasure to work with — thorough, good communication, clear documentation of issues found, and patient with first time buyers.

  3. Serge, I moved from a rental 172 to an M20E I bought earlier this year with the same total time as you. The transition has been reasonably smooth. I strongly recommend transition training with a Mooney CFI. Happy to give you a ride if you’re ever in the Boston area.

  4. I’m looking for recommendations for a pre-buy inspection in the Boston area. I’ve looked through a few old threads on the topic but wanted to gather any recent feedback. I understand KOWD has an MSC. I thought there was one at KASH but don’t see it listed on the Mooney site anymore (https://www.mooney.com/service).

Also, if anyone in the area might have some spare time to chat or even check out airplanes with me, I’d appreciate it. I’d be a first-time airplane buyer.

This forum has been a tremendous resource. Thanks.
