  1. https://huf.com/aviation-services/williams-aviation-maintenance/ Chad does most all of my maintenance (Encore/Bravo). He maintains several Mooneys in the area. I would say he is knowledgeable and would trust him to do a pre buy/annual. He can travel to the aircraft if needed.
  2. The winds weren’t bad taking off. The flight was surprisingly smooth at 250. Everyone was fighting turbulence, even the big dogs. I was on top of 90% of the weather at 250. IMC the whole time. I picked up light rime ice in the clouds and the TKS did a great job keeping up with it. The headwinds were tough at all altitudes but seemed to be forecasted less at 250. Even with the headwind I still saw 150kts which I was happy with. When I diverted and descended to 11,000 it got a little rowdy. Turbulence was the worst part. The weather was pretty much as forecasted. I deviated because of rain that was above me and to be safe I went ahead and descended below the freezing level. Definitely don’t want to get in SLD. I did a lot of flight planning and checking the weather before going. When I fly in weather like this, I give myself a bunch of outs and know where the freezing levels are. I also ran my plan by a commercial pilot friend before heading out. I would make the flight again.
  3. Brian, I’m interested in more information regarding the O-360 A1D to IO-360 B1B conversion. Can you share with me the details via email? kellenkester81@gmail.com
  4. Thank you to everyone who commented. The information provided is extremely helpful. Unfortunately, my system is still inop. I have done the following tests; 1.Trap door test with a shop vac-door shuts and builds pressure 2. Oil scavenger pump test-meets the required guidelines 3. Checked for boost by removing the boost hose from the air-box, starting the engine and engaging the waste gate. The turbo was making boost Seems everything is working as it should but I do not build any boost. Does anyone have any experience with troubleshooting this issue? Or, know a shop with Ray Jay Normalizer experience?
  5. I have an M20C with a Ray Jay... Does anyone have the Ray Jay performance charts?
