  1. I had Mooneys off my list while I shopped for a number of reasons and then put them back on after not really liking anything else enough to buy one. Have only been increasingly pleased with the choice for a number of reasons again and have never had one problem with getting parts.
  2. Removed for upgrade. Worked perfectly upon removal. No reasonable offer refused. Bradinc@astound.net or 510 377 0129
  3. Removed for upgrade. Probably 150 hours on overhaul (can be verified), worked perfectly upon removal. No reasonable offer refused. Steve Mink bradinc@astound.net or 510 377 0129.
  4. Removed for upgrade. Processor and display overhauled by Don Valentine not too long ago. No reasonable offer refused. Steve Mink bradinc@astound.net or 510 377 0129.

  7. Removed for upgrade, good condition, audio ID is inop, otherwised works fine. In the past a couple of diodes blinked intermittently but this seems to have self-resolved. No reasonable offer refused. Steve Mink Bradinc@astound.net or 510 377 0129.
  8. A suction mount crammed into the front bottom of the pilot side window, a medium arm cut and ground to allow the absolute maximum movement of the cradle toward the window post, and cutting away a big chunk of the bottom of the cradle for clearance for the arm will enable the cradle to virtually hug the window post, and clear the yoke just fine. It’s bit of work but worth it. It is hands down the best location in my opinion. I keep meaning to take a picture and some day I will…..
  9. We did ours just like Jay Bird except put the autopilot under the 830 and we were able to put both the transponder and com 2 under the 750. Works really well.

  12. I severely ground up some ram Mount parts that fasten to a suction mount that I jam into the lower front corner of the pilot side window. The mods make the iPad fit centered on the window post almost pressed up against it. I’ll try to post a photo. I think MyGoFlight parts could be used but they would cost about $300.
  13. You might also query Pacific Coast in Oregon (typically pricy but our local club just got a very competitive quote) and Chief, also in Grant's pass, did a great job on a friends 182 for a terrific price.
  14. I think it’s a matter of money. If you can afford to blow your budget on a decent J model and afford 80k for a panel that’s a good way to go. Otherwise I’d get a nice F model and spend 80k on a panel. Having just spent 80k on a new panel if I could turn back the clock I would have included F models in my search.
  15. I bought my Mooney at 63 with about 250 hours in very simple aircraft. The transition is not difficult if you have enough training to the point where you are entirely, entirely comfortable. Learning to land is a task just keep at it with good instruction until you get it. Buy Don Kaye’s video.
  16. There are a few devices that make a woman yell in your ear. Just get one.
  17. Ok the Travel John, glad to know it works. I carry a couple, never tested but I know the time will come soon enough.
  18. Mountain High has the pulse gizmo that you may want now or later and also has booms. I rigged up booms with anorher brands regulator but it was a hassle. Buy Mountain High stuff even if you might only want the pulse thing or booms later. And get as big a tank as you are willing to wrangle. The things that fit on the backs of the seat are worthless, I built a box that holds the tank flat between the rear seats that enables me to reach the regulator and read the dial. Works for me because I don’t put plaintiffs in the back seats they have to ride up front.
  19. Google Bruce aircraft covers get a travel cover
  20. If you are interested in a used KFC 150 PM me, we just put in a GFC 500.
