  1. Thank you. Flew an Ovation for the first time yesterday. I liked what I saw and it would be a better fit for my mission than my 201. Hindsight is 20-20 haha
  2. Eric with Oasis Aviation in Willmar, Minnesota flew me to Flying Cloud airport after I left my 89 201 at Weep No More. I had never flown or been in an Ovation and saw this as a good opportunity to see what it was like. For a number of reasons that have been discussed here before, I LOVED what I saw in the Ovation. It has been said before that there is "No replacement for Displacement." I appreciated this experience. The downside is, even though my 201 has served me well, I see what I have been missing. Speed cost money. How fast can you afford to go?
  3. On Mooney Space I have a used transducer, working transducer for $325 if interested.
  4. Thanks. I'd love to know more about your Ovation. What performance numbers including fuel burn do you see?
  5. After a lot of work and a fairly big chunk of change this is my upgraded panel for my 89' Mooney 201. It features a Garmin 530WAAS, 345 Gamin Transponder (ADS-B In& Out). Regarding the 345, I opted for the density altitude/temperature feature. Very handy when taking off when dealing with high density altitude airports. This required a separate temperature probe. Garmin Encoder, JPI900 engine monitor (Love it). Century autopilot. I mounted my Wing X Pro 7 on my mini iPad. Not shown is an antenna pig tail where I can plug in my Icom hand held should I need a 2nd Comm. It is as close to all glass as I can afford. I fly approximately 150hr/year. BTW-all the instruments and Druck transducers are listed For Sale here on Mooney Space. Everything worked fine when removed. AOPA article August 2016.pdf
  6. Removed from my Mooney 201 when installing the JPI900. Worked fine when removed. $135
  7. Removed from my Mooney 201 when installing the JPI900. Worked fine when removed. $35
  8. This was removed when I installed the JPI900. Worked fine when removed. Price is $135
  9. This 2" tachometer was removed when I installed the JPI900. Worked fine when removed from my Mooney 201. Price is $135.
  10. These were removed when I installed the JPI900 in my Mooney 201. Worked fine when removed. I have two and priced at $325 each. These transducer are no longer manufactured.
  11. I can't say enough good about the PFS. I have over 100 hours on mine (Mooney 201). Numerous high, hot and heavy takeoffs; it makes a noticeable difference.
  12. I worked for a very large Cessna affiliate for 9 years in aircraft sales. Doing upgrades whatever they are, be willing to take a 50% hit when it comes time to sell. Maybe a simple Garmin Aera or the Wing X Pro 7 on a mini iPad would do the trick you.
  13. I recently installed the JPI900 in my 1989 Mooney 201. If anyone is interested I have the 2" RPM, 2" Manifold gauge and the 2" Amp gauge for sale. I spoke to Air Salvage of Dallas as what they sell for used. It was recommended the RPM gauge should sell for $225. I would sell it for $195. Manifold pressure should sell for $175. I would sell it for $150. Amperage gauge should sell for $175. I would sell it for $150. Everything was working perfectly when removed.
  14. Per our friend Don Maxwell, Druck was the only transducer manufacture for Mooney aircraft till Mooney aircraft offered the Garmin 1000. They are required to measure fuel, oil and manifold pressure. When they fail there are no replacement transducers. The owner then has to find used ones which are impossible to find except for the two I have or spend thousands of dollars to install the JPI900 or other engine monitoring equipment that is approved by the FAA as replacement gauges for certified aircraft. These came off my 1989 Mooney 201 when I installed the JPI900. The part#: PDCR 821-0862. I would warranty these for 30 days. Lastly I apologize for taking so long to respond. I have been overseas performing.
  15. I installed the new JPI900. I have 2 Druck transducers that were working at time of removal for $500 each. I am willing to guarantee them for 30 days. There are NO replacement transducers when these fail. This is an ongoing problem if you loose fuel pressure, oil pressure or Manifold pressure reading. You only option is to install the JPI900 or other FAA certified replacement or buy used Druck transducers. As far as I know these are the only two on the market. Let me know if I can help you. I would give you a full refund if they should fail within the 30 day period.
  16. I recently installed the JPI900. I removed two Druck transducers that were working at time of removal. I am willing to guarantee them for 30 days. Price is $500 each.
