Anyone ever used Mark Zito with Top Stitch Aviation Upholstery. Saw him on Houston Aviators Facebook page. Looking to upgrade my interior in my 67 M20F and Houston is right in my neighborhood.

Did you have any luck with the Rosen kit?

Mooney1, did you ever figure it out? I also have a 67F with the mount only on the center bar. I looked at the trim and don't see an easy way to install them. I sent Rosen an email and they said the 67 was on the STC for them. Walt 1140301 J.PDF 1140000 L.PDF

I could not find the electric step mod directions on Mooneyspace. How would I go about doing that on my F? Thanks.

I have the Stec 30 with GPSS. If I want to fly a 180 degree heading I have to set the heading bug to 170 degrees. Will an overhaul of the DG fix this or is there any adjustment that can be made to the DG or maybe the turn coordinator computer. All of the modes work correctly except for my 10 degree error on the heading bug.

Finally I have a working Stratus ADS-B. Problem was a bad altitude encoder RS232 port shorting out the unit.

I have an F but my avionics guy has been trying to fix an electrical problem causing poor transmit problems and the ADS-B stratus to be intermittent on powering up for two months.

Anyone is the Houston area rent and do flight training for an IPC in a Mooney C E or F? I need to get current again.

Update: Stratus works on the bench and using a fabricated wiring harness in the plane so must be the remote terminal bus.

Just had a brand new Stratus ads-b ES with 2i installed in my Mooney and it had a blank screen when my Avionics tech tried to power it up. Plane has already been in the shop for a month waiting for the install and now this! Anyone else have problems with a new Stratus ads-b? The 2i powered up just fine.

I just got this email from Cygnet asking about the yokes for Mooney's. Cygnet offers a wheel conversion kit using Beech wheels and have done many of these over the past 20 years. $1495 including machining and installation of the adapters on your control tubes. This is typically done with a 337 and most FAA are open to approving the installation. ($75 each additional for black).

Shop has the manuals. Should be an easy install because plane it came out of had 14V, same DG and 430gps.

I bought one of cheap Stec 901's ones on eBay that was 14V and set up for the same DG I have. It is being installed today. Hope it works.

Anyone (Alan Fox) have a STEC 901 GPSS for sale. Hooking it up to my67 M20F. I have the STEC 30 with the STEC DG, Garmin 430W and GARMIN 106B. My Mooney is 14V. Should I take a chance and buy one on eBay??

I am having the Stratus ES and 2i installed right now in my 67 M20F. I will let you know the total cost after it is completed. I chose the ES as I have a Garmin 430W so I did not need another antenna and the 2i because I only have one plane. FYI Sugar Land avionics quoted my $5000 for just the ES and not including the 2i.

Well I cleaned it and I still have a few buttons that do not work. Thinking of getting a PMA8000G.

I will be back to my Mooney next week and try that. Thank you.

Do you disassemble the front cover of the 340 or just spray it in the panel as is?

Anyone else have problems with their Garmin 340 buttons. I have to push the com and nav buttons several times to get them to come on and off. Any suggestions? Tried re-seating it and that did not help. Thanks.

Still have not heard from Garmin. I ordered a new orange card from Jeppesen. Garmin has a new bundle deal to get you terrain and data for about the same price as just data on the Jeppesen site.

Tried to download current data for my 430W for the first time and no luck. I downloaded the terrain just fine but when I went to download the navigation data card it started to see the card, started a downloaded and then it gave me an error and now it wont read the card at all. I have one of the silver label data cards and using the Garmin reader. Just for troubleshooting I also put the card in my jeppesen card reader and the data card got pretty hot so I took it out. Garmin says the problem is software on their end. After trying to download unsuccessfully I put the card back in the 430W and now I have no data.

That was me looking for the 48 gallon wing. Finally gave up and sold the whole plane. Getting ready to close on a M20F.
