    Wanted to Fly my 201 this morning, all pre-flight checks were fine, started on 3rd blade, THEN, on turning on radio master, got a high pitch squeal in the headsets, and extremely high amperage reading (with no normal taper off). Radios dead even though radio cb not popped.

    My guess is either alternator or regulator is/are bad.

    At the Poplar Grove AirMotive shop now for diagnosis/repair....what's the consensus as to the problem?
