  1. Thanks for the reply. kortopates. I am presently looking at anywhere between 50-80 differential between coolest and honest egts. I believe I may have an injector that needs tuning or changing out. The first time out I had an 80 degree spread and the last time 50, so it is improving. I was just wondering what people were looking at when leaned out at curse.
  2. What egt and cht numbers are normal for leaning rich of peak?
  3. First flight in Mooney M20R, relocated aircraft from delivered aircraft to home airport. Leveled at 2500 MSL, set throttle at 22" MP, noticed EGT was 1540. This is higher than I have seen a full rich setting. This aircraft originated in Denver area and I am wondering if I should reset the base mixture setting for sea level operation? Or.. is this normal for a IO-550G I am new to this engine. I have a ton of time behind other IO-550s but no G time.
  4. I downloaded a wt&balance ap for the M20R and it works great. However, they indicate a 'zero fuel weight' number in the envelope. I have been unable to find any reference to a 'zero fuel weight' limit in the POH. I am accustomed to dealing with this limit with jet aircraft but have found no reference in the M20R manual. Is there a 'zero fuel weight' limit on the M20R?
  5. Where can you find a replacement for the switches on the left side of the yoke?
  6. What is a good source for a replacement part for my 2002 M20R Ovation2 control yoke switch housing? All the switches work fine but there is a small crack on the housing from where the A/P tightened a screw a bit too much when he replaced the trim switch. I know it is mostly cosmetic but I would like it replaced.
