  1. Still searching for a shop. PJ Aircraft was supposed to install but Phil has retired since.
  2. Recently installed a JPI 900 in my 1983 M20J. Need recommendations for Florida shop that can install the CIES fuel senders. If you've recently undergone this installation, please include installation hrs/cost. Thanks
  3. Phil is your best go to IA. Out of Avon Park.
  4. Altitude is your friend. Gain it as fast as you can. Specially in densely populated surroundings.
  5. I sent this shop a couple of emails yesterday and no response. Not sure if he's busy or failed to check his email. Will try again next week.
  6. Thank you all. Appreciate the recs. I will try to reach out to these folks.
  7. Anyone, anyone?? Bueller, Bueller.......
  8. Seeking A&P recommendations for a JPI 900 installation in my M20J. Preferably in KTMB. Willing to assist in installation.
  9. These are on the way. Not permanent, just for fun events.
  10. I plan on adding sharks teeth and eyes. Just the stick on/removable type. For special events like Sun and Fun.
  11. Yeah Hawk had to scale the scheme to fit the shorter body J, but in the end it all turned out gorgeous. I’m pretty happy with the end result.
  12. Yes it was done this time around. Much nicer look.
  13. Well after 4 months of nail biting anticipation, I finally received notice from Hawk that my J was ready to be picked up. And I must say, it was well worth the wait. Joe Dinolfo at Hawk delivered a beautiful paint job.
  14. IT turns out she's been dressed in white. Can't wait for he other colors to be applied.
  15. Thank you Mitch. I'm hoping that in the end the final product will be worth the wait.
  16. I will keep the name anonymous till I get my airplane back. I dropped off my Mooney, and a substantial amount of $$ as deposit. I expected a "reputable aircraft service center" to deliver on their promise. But unfortunately my aircraft has been held as a hostage with NO true delivery date, although one was promised. Truly unfortunate. Enough to make me want to sell my beloved Mooney.
  17. I'm just Another Florida paint shop victim!! At this point I'm hoping to get my airplane back before the year ends. There should be legislation to protect the aircraft owner against predators such as this. $15,000 to strip and paint, but not delivering the product as promised. I was promised 4 to 8 weeks to delivery. It took them 9 weeks just to strip. Its been 3 weeks since strip job, and NOTHING has been done since. My bird has been sidelined and ignored while others have been taken in. Its all about profits and 0 customer satisfaction. Beware of Florida aircraft paint shops.
  18. I wish I could say the same. My shop has had my Mooney for over 3 months and all they've done is strip and dis-assemble. Every time I ask them about the status and progress of my Mooney, all I get is lies. Not impressed, rather dis appointed.
  19. No new N #. Too much of a hassel. I would have to change a bunch of other items that have the N #s. on it.
  20. Hawk does all that. They are VERY familiar with Mooneys. Right now Hawk has 4 Mooneys going through the process.
  21. The old dress comes off. Soon she’ll be sporting her new colors.
