  1. I don’t figure that it’s magically producing fluid, but maybe it is replacing it with air. It is overflowing. How do I find this Ross fella?
  2. I found oil on my floor and after the initial panic, and pointing towards the nearest airport, I figured out it was fluid from pumping my flaps. It seems like the first three or four pumps do nothing, then the pumps start moving the flaps. Even after losing a significant amount, the reservoir is filled to the brim. The fluid is overflowing, not leaking. Someone knows exactly what this is. Please help. Thank you!
  3. There’s nothing “wrong” with them other than age that I know of.
  4. I am swapping the engine in my C soon. I want to have all foreseeable parts in the hangar before I become a regular person that drives everywhere, so we can do it quickly. Mechanic says we need to pull the engine mounts and send them in to be rebuilt and wait. That doesn’t make sense to me. Does anyone know if there is a more efficient option?
  5. I guess I explained it wrong. I meant that once I land and am taxiing, the lowest idle I can get is 1100 rpm. With the power pulled all the way out there is still more power than I want when landing. It hasn’t always been that way and my mechanic has no explanation. It’s caused me a few go arounds because it’s Wearing out my brakes.
  6. Hello, my m20c idles at about 500rpm when cold and when warm (trying to land) it won’t go lower than 1100 rpm. Does anyone have any ideas why and or how to fix it? Thank you.

  12. Hello gentlemen, I'm sure this question has been posted and answered here somewhere, but I can't find the answer I'm looking for for the life of me. My 64 C model will not shut down when I pull mixture all the way out. The linkage is all good and the piece that the cable attaches to goes full stop both ways. (Sorry for the lack of technical terms.) the idle is rough too, but it flys just fine. I've decided to swap out the carb for a rebuilt unit. On this site I found that don maxwell recommends a different carb(10-3878m) than what I have (10-4164-I). I can't find the 3878m, only a 3878H. Is there anyone out there who can tell me where to go and what to buy?
  13. Part ordered from lasar. Thanks guys. You made it easy. On another subject, plane won't shutdown with full lean. Idles roughly too. Our plan is to get rebuilt carb. Any thoughts? Best place to order one?
