  1. Just checked my M20 G with a strode meter since I have a new top prop and Pinnacle Major overhaul. The old steam tach is reading about 100 rpm’s high. I think I read somewhere that a tach can be 3% off at normal cruise power. Any experts out there. Engine running great
  2. I use Travers Agency near St a Louis. The carrier is Global and I am very pleased. They could not have handled my claim any better. First class people with excellent service.

  12. Just got back in the air with my Lycoming 360 overhauled by Pinnacle in Alabama -great people and it runs great. I just pick up a buddies Comanche engine from Watson in Georgia. Nice folks and was impressed with their shop. Your mechanic will have the best feel for the good shops. Pinnacle came highly recommended. Happy Holidays to all my fellow aviators.

  15. Need to replace or overhaul my attitude indicator and got to looking at autopilot compatibility if I went to an AV30 or a G5. Talked with TrueTrak and they said Mooney should be approved soon. Also found AeroCruz at Sarasota Avionics. Sound good. Have an informal quote on Garmin for two G5s and autopilot 21k to 25k. Just seeing what my Mooney buddies are doing. I still have working Britain accutrak. Call me a CB but it works. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all

  17. I think I saw one from Don Maxwell one time. Not sure where I saw it. I agree with the annual v pre-buy. Agee up front to split the cost if you walk away

  19. Trying to figure out how to pay the money.. I agree with others that the new ad gizmo eating up half the page is ridiculous. How about limiting the views to 3 or something if not a supporter. Let me know how to pay. If you did it on purpose shame on you.
  20. Cheap price from my experience equates to run out engines and poor avionics. By the best you can afford and enjoy it. 68 M20 G owner
  21. Hey Mooney experts. are all M20 nose gear doors the same ? I have a G model and am in the middle of one piece belly mod and would like to make mine nicer. Any info appreciated.

  24. NTSB report is out. Saw it in Plane and Pilot. Over 8g stress in a graveyard spiral.
  25. Thanks. I’ve found some springs by put they have all seen a little concrete polishing I’ll call the two sources mentioned. I had talked with Texas Salvage before. As to the damage. It looks like a lot of guys just rotate the spring and hide the flattening. Maybe something to check on a pre buy.
