  1. Best place is South and West of landfall, weakest side of the storm
  2. Haven't seen mice, have seen rats and for the past 6 months I have evidence of rabbits....lots & lots of evidence
  3. I use 2 short (10") 2x4's on the nose wheels. My hangar is 50'x35' and houses an M20E and C-172 so it's kinda tight and I don't need anything rolling in the wrong direction. S.Texas can be be really dusty so I throw a bed sheet over the cabin to keep the dust off the windows, it's cheap & quick.
  4. Congrats on the hangar, I close and cover in the hangar I even chock the nose wheel
  5. When you say it doesn't work, are talking about the side tone is there or what?
  6. Try the headset in a different aircraft and see if the is true, my bet is they are bad
  7. That sucks, recovering from a broken toe myself
  8. will they email the drawings to you? http://genesys-aerosystems.com/
  9. No spark from either mag? Disconnect your "P" leads from both mags and recheck which eliminates the switch. If both mags are faulty buy a lotto ticket
  10. I built my own jacks, A-frame and tail stand, jacks can be pinned at 1.5" increments and no fear of bleeding down. A-frame uses a chain hoist so it can't bleed down, tail stand to firm everything up. Spent somewhere around $350.00 and a weekend cutting & welding, will try and get some pics up tonight, I also have drawing/plans if needed
  11. Me and white clothing don't seem to get along, I'll get something on my shirt just putting it on.
  12. My grandmother and my parents shared a party line, and our home ph# started with 423 which was given as Garfield 3 and then the 4 numbers that followed and before that when the city only had prefix you only had to dial the last 4 numbers ( the original speed dial )
  13. More like 20kts from what I've seen
  14. Mine is a contraction of my name Robert L. Carter, used it for decades. @Raptor05121 how about Windows 3.1? Somewhere I have a flight Sim on 5.25 floppies and still use my AOL email account for junk account
  15. Spoke to a friend of mine, he is the DOM for an Air Ambulance Service based in Corpus, their fleet was moved north of Dallas, his parents house in Rockport is gone.... Not good at all for that area.
  16. 15 gallons of hydration.....
  17. No drift at all, it's all the same....
  18. Congrats........nice looking bird
  19. Cat 4, very nasty, for those that have never been through or seen 1st hand the amount of water it is unreal. Imagine an F3 Tornado that is 100 miles wide, last 8 hours and dumps 20+ inches of rain. Have friends right in the middle, Corpus, Victoria, Port Lavaca and Houston, have heard from some, will be checking again in the morning
  20. I went out yesturday and took mine off the jacks, My thought is if I lost some siding it could knock it off the jacks and cause some ugly damage. Be safe, looks like you guys will get more than us down here. As far as leaving it on the jacks (good weather) , mine was up for over several months.
  21. C Hopefully JAX was working it behind the scene and had a handle on it and not blowing it off
  22. Minimum for IFR is 1 comm and 1 nav VOR/LOC but you would be very limited on what Approaches you could do. Dual Comm's and Nav's with Flip-Flops sure makes it a lot easier. Leagal isn't always SAFE
  23. Could a Venturi be mounted on the belly?
  24. Why do you say it couldn't be drilled and taped, or heli-coiled? Or did some one try and make it worse? Can you post a photo?
  25. In Mexico a left t-signal on the highway means it's safe to pass, city buses honk as they run the stop sign to turn right.
