  1. love the look of the m20f chopped wing. love the smooth tips but for the money Id rather have a new radio or something glass in the cockpit. OHHH yeah the ADS-B maybe........or maybe just use the money goes to fuel and go somewhere for a couple weeks until the cost evens out.
  2. i have to agree. i have flown several mooneys for test flights and delivery and I flew a 70s f model with every mod done. my 67 f flew the same with no mods. over all speed difference was negligible. not worth all the money spent and the guys that worked on them just laugh at the moneys spent. if i want to go faster Ill get another plane. I love my mooney but if adding $10k gets me 6 knots ill buy a faster plane instead.
  3. i know this is an old topic but im new to the sight and am dealing with this now and thought id fill you all in. hartzell is still charging $200 and if the prop is over 5 yrs old they wont touch it unless to over haul. i hve a 67 m20f that i love. based out of i68. lebanon ohio. if theres a fly in for mooneys in the area, im game. does anyone have any other shops around the tristate that do the checks? pretty sure castle air in akron does because they are great with mooneys but was looking for something closer. tiffon would be ok, just checking.
