  1. JAC to home is only about 1.5 hours, I figure I'd just stack the frozen vac packs. They don't get all that much from a bison, 250ish for a cow.
  2. I've been wanting to shoot a bison. I've been wondering how I'd load the processed meat. I guess just stack the max in baggage and the rest in the back seat.
  3. hell week if you're lucky. Hell 3 or 4 weeks if not.
  4. if bush pilots can afford new turbo cessnas, well I'm moving to AK and starting my own flying service. Now to write those pesky 135 documents... BTW, unfortunately that majestic creature is REALLY tasty.
  5. lower cowl on our K comes off in about 15 minutes with two people? Had it off for oil change yesterday.
  6. once you go force fed, you never go back
  7. Rocket's got em, $250 It is what it is I guess. Real nice folks.
  8. ahh gotcha. The updates are out on the street already? Damn I'll have to call.
  9. Previous owner never had either so I got a battery board but I don't have the drain.
  10. I emailed them and got no reply, but good idea, I'll try and call tomorrow. Can't get a pic, cowl is back on post change.
  11. We do not have the quick drain fitting and hose for our 520. Looking at the way the tubing is run, they probably all came with one. I'm hoping this means it's a common fitting between all of the conversions and someone can tell me what it is so I can locate and purchase. It really sucks to sit there and hold it open to drain.
  12. You could but I think it runs on 3AA batteries so it probably isn't worth the headache to work out the voltage to ships power.
  13. I think commercial solutions exist also, mountain high for example has this: http://www.mhoxygen.com/index.php/closeout-refurbished scroll down to the ARCVR-0100-11 Problem on the mooney would be the necessity to integrate with the factory ports and lines, so you would either need something with similar output and config, or as I said put something inline.
  14. Seems like we constantly have trouble with the cable on/off system. If I could find a solenoid valve of the appropriate fitting size it doesn't seem like it would be a difficult fix to put that in between the factory regulator and the tank and run it to a switch and just leave the original valve open. Downside being I guess you'd have to open it to fill the tank. Something like:http://www.stcvalve.com/solenoid_valve_specifications_and_dimenisons_2SO_2WO.htm but in a normally closed config. I think mountain high uses something similar on their built in kits too.
  15. back up for sale. model NDSKYUSB(G2) Looks like this one, but not an orange tag. http://jeppdirect.jeppesen.com/product_details.jsp?id=prod850002_ca
  16. Instructions unclear. my iPad got hot so I pissed on it. 0/10 would not try again.
  17. sitting in a rear facing seat maybe? Poor girl.
  18. this was a MSC so I would assume they know what they're doing. I've assumed wrong before though. The left one was barely finger tight so I put some blue loctite on them. I pity the next guy that removes them.
  19. I like that idea. I might follow you. did you use this one and just use the EI side for a mag? http://www.electroair.net/switchPanel.html
  20. I'm good at that. It's why I don't teach much. That and a burning disdain for most people
  21. due to change of angle of attack is how I'd put it. same thing, different words.
  22. PARs are few and far between. I've done an ASR, but never a PAR. It's offered up at Cheyanne I believe, I need to go do it. You better believe if it's at mins and I go no gyro that's where I'm going. Usually someone needs a PAR for currency if you call ahead and mention you'll be there for it around xx time.
