We go to Asheville regularly, but I always fly into Hendersonville, NC (0A7), nice little airport w/SelfServe and we usually stay at one of the nicer Bed & Breakfast in Hendersonville.  Enterprise will pick you up at the airport.

There is an awesome Brewery (Bus) Tour in Asheville that is a lot of fun and informative. We have done it a few times and the Restaurant walking tours are always an excellent way to sample some of the finer things in Asheville.

Nice little airport???  I visited it by car about a year ago and I would not recommend it.  The runway was full of cracks and rundown.  My 2 cents.  It would be a nice alternative if they put some money into it.

  2. I fly a fair amount into Asheville and they don't advertise but they do have self serve pump gas for about $2.00 less and it waves part of the fees.   The fees are ridiculous, but Sierra Nevada is less then a mile away.  Cheers!!!  Troy

  3. Sounds funny but I was hoping it wasn't going to be so nice.  It's basically brand new and he thought it didn't run.  The conversions I have seen have been on smaller snow blowers.  I like the idea of keeping the blower intact somehow.  I can push the Mooney around by myself without problems but it would be nice for a little assistance sometimes with the Cherokee 6, it's  a little heavier.

    Thanks for everyone input,

    Troy

  4. My partner at work purchased a new snow blower a few months ago because his would not start.  He said if I wanted to get it running I could have it for Free.  I love Feee stuff.  I picked it up today and was surprised by how big it was and how nice.  He put SeaFoam in it after all the failed starts and said it will prob start now. Second pull.   Runs perfect.   I think it's too nice and too big to turn into a Tug??  Do I keep it for the occasional snow or make a awesome Tug???

  5. I used mine yesterday in the Cherokee Six and I was impressed.  8-10 on taxi, 0-2 on cruise.  Will test it out in the Mooney in a few weeks when I finally get it back from the shop to fix leaking tank.   Looking forward to flying her after flying the Six.  Will have to decide to sell or keep both.  First World Problems.

  6. I'm about to order one and noticed it says runs large.  I normally wear an XL but have had to go to an XXL lately.  I know.  I know.  I got two XL a Mooney shirts from another source for Christmas and both are two small.  Should I go for the XXL or XL.  5'9, 210#   Thanks.  Troy
