  1. I have my J model under contract and am searching for a DX model Ovation.
  2. Chips at KFPR is excellent, and aero trim is on the field also if you need interior work. Both have done work for me and exceeded expectations.
  3. This is my idea of camping, but it is for sale. Let me know if anyone wants a nice pusher.
  4. Daytona aircraft helped me out a month or so ago when I landed with a rough running engine, Quick service, nice folks, they have a nice lounge to wait or nap in, and a good supply of mooney parts on hand. I felt their pricing was fair for the quick service they gave me.
  5. I wonder if this is a no back clutch spring issue.
  6. TT is high, was it a trainer at some point?
  7. I am in Fort Pierce most of the winter and Bradley aviation works on my J model frequently. Allen, one of the mechanics, owns a J model and is quite knowledgeable with Mooneys. They are very fair with pricing and good folks to deal with.
  8. C, I am based in NC but spend a lot of time in Ft Pierce. If you dont mind driving up to KFPR, I would be more than happy to take you up sometime. I am heading back to NC tomorrow, but will be back in a week or so. Gary
  9. After, spent time on Piper related forums due to owning a Dakota prior to the Mooney. This site has been a great source of info.
  10. More stars indicates that you do not have to work and can spend a lot of time on mooneyspace.
  11. I just went through this same problem last week, flew home after an extended absence, three hour flight turned into four due to headwinds, I needed to use restroom, a little tired, impatient, the plane was light with just me and about ten gallons of fuel remaining bounced two times on the mains and had to go around. My second landing was OK, but still ugly. I was to fast over the fence for my weight and knew it and should have just made the go around decision earlier. I went down a few days later and practiced, no problems, I think it happens to many of us Mooney pilots. Airspeed adjustments when the plane is light are important!
  12. Being an avid duck hunter, my plane almost always has a 70 pound Labrador in the back seat. He wears muffs but shakes them off easily, I just put a sheet over the back seat, lower the flaps, cover the wing walk and he loads right up. He usually does not get up until after we land. Probably the best passenger I have unless he has gas.
  13. Done - great site, thanks for keeping it going. Gary
