Hi Bob,
I may need to bring the Bravo to Lynn the very last part of Dec. for a Jan signoff. I think it is sold Buyer is accepting an AGL annual as a prebuy
we will see if the check clears the bank.
-
Hi Mike, sorry to hear you're going to lose you sweet ride.
- Define late December, Nancy and I will be in Atlanta with family for Xmas approx. Saturday 23rd to 29th...
- Nancy is prepared for you to stay with us - she's buggin me to finish painting the guest room.
- We're installing bladders in my plane now. The bladders and the CiES will be finished in a week or 2 but we'll be waiting for JPI to get the EDM back to us - it had to be modified for the CiES. We shipped it to CA a few days ago so it is going to be close.
- I'm sure you're checking with Lynn, he'll be taking some time off for Christmas.

Hi Mark,
I wanted to touch base with you to see if you would be interested in donating a nice PMA450A as a silent auction item for the Mooney Summit V this year, and possibly do an educational presentation on audio panel technology during the open house airport day.
We are starting to assemble our sponsors for this years event and would love to include PS Engineering once again on our sponsor link.
Let me know, kind sir!
Regards,
Mike

How much are you asking for the KX155A w/GS, K203 Indicator,? I may be interested in replacing my non glide slope 155 as a backup, just haven't decided on whether or not to just pop for another Garmin or Avidyne and be done with it.
-
I am asking $1500.00 for the 155A with GS. The KI203 is does not have a GS needle (localizer only) but used only 400 hours so it is virtually new. I also have an almost new Stratus 2. I have it priced at $550.00.
I would be glad to answer any questions you have.

Thanks Walt. Ill pass on the King stuff, as I talked myself into putting my bucks in the newer equipment, having remembered what a PIA and $ it was to get a new display for my KI a couple of years ago. Good luck in selling everything!

I have used these guys http://www.aircraftmagnetoservice.net/ used to be in Washington, now in Idaho. Fast turn, quality work. They can really test everything and make sure it is functionally new.
-
Thanks Mike.
I think he has a mag shop that he uses all the time that are local.
I did question this with him after the 500 hour in May of 2015 and he said it was an IRAN inspection. Any time these mags go in for a 500 hour they will be rebuilt, period.

Hi John,
No, Jolie and Jan are not doing a right seat ready course. They have a fee model now we couldn't meet and be fair to all our subject matter experts. They will have it at MAPAs homecoming and someplace on the east coast I believe.
-
Thanks again, Mark. I put in a GitHub request for IT to get PS also listed with links back to you on our sponsors page. Nick is swamped with his day job at NTAP and Disney right now, but will get to it soon. Perhaps next year we could think of a presentation that would be educational (soft selling thru education is what our sponsors have found really works. It builds loyalty out the wazoo) and could have you come to airport day with a nice display.
Ill see you at SunNFun if not before!

Really appreciate your gentle persuasion on being a sponsor, I feel good about it and grateful for the logo placement

Thanks for participating, Mark. It is a great cause that GA leaders all feel good about helping. Undoubtedly, PSE makes best in class products.
Email me your contact info when you can.

Hi Mike, I would love to be part of some sort of educational series, you know audio panels are just switch panels any more, especially with IntelliAudio. I put a very homemade video together that tries to explain it, on YouTube.
It's hokey but it does help explain the benefits.
Thanks for your support.
Sincerely,

Thanks Mike. I don't know how you keep up with this stuff.
Let me know if I can do anything for you while you are in our part of the world.

THanks Don, I just did his transition training with him in N231WH a couple of months ago. Nice guy, a train engineer! Lives in Utah.
I wont have time to even stop and see the inlaws this trip. They are in Richardson. The J I have been taking care of for the last 3 years I finally moved to McKinney last month. The owner is now a Dallas resident for the time being. He just didn't want to take it to California and let the caliban have at his assets....
next time!!

John, would you share Brian Kendrick's contact info and email with me? I just want it for my files as I have a few clients in TX that want an option to Don M.

Bob, as a previous donor to the Mooney Summit, you will receive an email from me about a week before registration opens up to the General public as a pre-invitation to sign up. you will also be back testing the registration system Nick is building by doing so. Going forward next year, we hope to have this process very simple as we data mine your info for pre-invitation.One of the bennies of being generous. Don't spread this around or Ill have to revoke your TSC clearance We want people to be motivated with their hearts not their agendas.

Thanks Mike!
Any experience with fuel level sensors? I'm ready to pull the trigger on the CiES freq style which the JPI folks like. My plane might as well not have anything as bad as the info is. I have a JPI 930 but the floats are original resistives - 0 to 30 ohm. I'm headed to the airport to drain the right tanks and remove the sender.
-
call Paul Beck and talk to him about it. I think the guys at CIES screwed him really good for some work he did in the development for them. Paul has some insight on how to make yours work well, and wont set you back 2k.

Hi Dan,
Saw your plane last week when I was in Longview, put my business card on your copilot chart clip just to let you know I was there. Nice plane! At first I thought it was Debbie and David's, but then realized as I approached it, the red was brighter than theirs.
Anyway, just wanted to know I was there and saw your plane. Sorry I missed you.

Hi Carl,
If you need to speak to someone, reach out to my wife alice. She is a psychotherapist that has been thru this with me 2 years ago, and she specializes in EMDR therapy. While not licensed in PA, she will be able to give you some guidance and help.

Carl,
I am so sorry for your pain you must feel for Todd. If you are in contact with Todd while he is recovering, please let him know the Mooney Summit is there to offer help for him. We will reach out to him at a more appropriate time. Now is the time for family and friends.
Thanks.

HI Cody,
I am beginning the thought process to have the McCauley 3 blade on the Mooney Bravo IRAN'd.
a couple of questions,
about how long would you need it for? (plan to fly up there and have you do it)
about how many banks should I rob?
-
Hi Jake,
I may be that way in the next day or so to work with JR LEE on the 231 and Aaron on the J. Thought I would give you a heads up and come meet you
Mike Elliott
-
I just finished flying with Mr. Lee and we have a purchase agreement in place. He said he was going to contact you. The M20J has been here waiting on an autopilot box that finally showed up, it's all set to go as well. Look forward to meeting with you.
-
It sounds like schedule wise Aaron is going to have you guys fly the J up to him, as he is busy to come view it. I have a full plate next week and plan to be there Fri for JR.
See you soon.
Mike
-
Yeah, the broker is delivering the J up to TN. I'll see you next Friday. Mr. Lee is a great guy, should be a good time bringing the 231 home. it's one heck of an airplane, I'm going to miss it.

Bob,
Mike Salman, who was at the Mooney Summit, is looking for a nice J if your friend wants to sell. Have him send m or Mike details.
Thanks

Hi Simpson
I haven't heard back from John Reid yet confirming doing a seminar at the Mooney Summit IV on Friday Sept 30th KECP. I hope he received my email right after SNF.
Do you know if Avidyne still interested in having a presence and doing a wings credit seminar on "the future of avionics in GA planes"? We want to make sure we get your the maximum traction we can so knowing early will help.
L3 will be doing an ADS-B presentation, and they have donated a NGT9000 for our silent auction! How cool would it be to have Avidyne do something similar with a IDF440!
THanks

Hey Mike,
That's odd. I spoke with John a week or two ago about attending and he made it seem like he was planning on it. I know it's been a mad house after SnF so he might have "thought" out a conversation with you without sending anything. In any case, I have sent him a note to follow back up with you. Additionally, I will be seeing him Friday for the AOPA in NC and will bug him about getting back to you if he hasn't done so by then.
Bottomline, yes, we are interested in attending and demo'ing the IFDs. We will be happy to do a show and tell or participating in any forums. We don't have any FAAST members on staff so there would be no WINGS credits unfortunately.
I don't know if I can get the green light on an IFD440 donation, but I will talk with the team and see what we can come up with,
Best,
Simpson

Thanks Simpson,
No problem about the FAASteam rep thing, I can do that. I am a FAAsteam lead rep and can give wings credit seminar approvals. Lets just make the topic about advanced cockpit technology. Soft selling thru education is what has worked well for the vendors that have been involved with the Mooney Summit in the past, as I am sure you are aware.
That would be way cool if you could spring a unit for the Mooney Summit. Remember, we are a 501c3 that uses excess funding above the cost of producing the Mooney Summit to help downed Mooney pilots and their families when they need it the most. I don't think there is another charity doing this for GA at all, and I have inspired a few others to start something similar for their marques.
We would be honored if Avidyne became a cornerstone supporter of the Bill Gilliland foundation (our charity's name) like L3 and Lightspeed have done. Ill make sure you get a lot of traction and mileage for it. Of course, it would have to be installed by an authorized reseller.
Thanks again!

I wont publically bad mouth someone, but Coy Jacobs has less than a stellar history of treating his customers fairly. Being in Fl, I take my planes and my clients planes to Don Maxwell in Tx. vs. here in Fl. In fact, I go there Monday to pick up one and take back to its owner here in FL.
YMMV, just trying to pass on 20 years of Mooney history and knowledge. Be careful if you deal with Coy

WHere in Fl. do you go, I can possibly suggest a fair, Mooney savvy guy.
-
im In Fort Worth and am only about an hour flight to Don. I LOVE Florida and want to start more travel there, but I dont really NEED a mech out there. Just thought if he was reputable it would be a cool "kill two birds with one stone" kinda deal.
-
Jeff Bender he guy at KCLW is good. Phil Jiminez in KAVO is good, as is Arnold holmes in KLEE. Ivan James, a noted Mooney Guru winters in Sarasota and is available, but summers he is back in Mo.
-
spent a lot of time in your lovely city back in the day of my racing at Bowmanville (Mosport)
Need to get there again, (summer of course!)

Hi Robb,
First off, let me wish you a speedy and complete recovery. I wanted to tell you about the Mooney Summit, Inc. if you do not already know. We are a 501c3 charity that provides education to Mooney Pilots via our Summit each October. As part of the Mooney Summit, we have the Bill Gilliland foundation set up to provide crisis intervention and emergency financial assistance for Mooney Pilots and their surviving families. My wife Alice heads up the foundation and is a psychiatric therapist specializing in EMDR and DPT therapy. Having been thru this ourselves, my wife and I are in a unique position to offer assistance to you if you need it.
We know of no other GA support group like the Mooney Summit. Please let us know if we can aid you thru this. Feel free to contact me any time. Godspeed in your recovery, Dr.

Hi,
I am curious who you would recommend for interior work. A J I fly needs it badly, and I think the owner is about ready to capitulate
Thanks!
Mike Elliott
-
I use http://www.eastcoastaircraft.com in Deland, FL. They did the interior in the M20K I have for sale and they just finished my Bonanza interior. They do *really* nice work. Talk to Marta and tell her you were referred by Jake at Daytona Aircraft Services and she will take good care of you.

Thanks Jake.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for reaching out and your generosity. It's guys like you that make it so special for me to be involved with Mooney pilots. Your kindness is appreciated by all involved with the Mooney Summit.

Rocketman - Ron Dubin, co-founder
Nick_elliott - CTO

Another way to support the Bill Gilliland foundation is thru smile.amazon.com and selecting the Mooney Summit, Inc, as your charity. Then, when ordering on amazon, go to smile.amazon.com and they will contribute 1/2 of 1% of all your amazon purchases towards our foundation. The trick is to go to smile.amazon.com vs. amazon.com as this triggers their charity contribution. Prices are all the same.
Thanks again.
