  1. Here is question to the tax experts on this forum: According to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) of 2017 a buyer of a used aircraft is entitled for a bonus depreciation for 2024. If a taxpayer signs a contract to buy an used aircraft in 2023, 80% bonus depreciation is applied when the aircraft is delivered and placed in service in 2023. The seller being from Europe we have the following situation: 1.) The aircraft is located in Europe. 2.) A binding sales contract exists and a down payment to an Escrow has been placed by the buyer. 3.) It is agreed that the aircraft has to be delivered to the US within the year 2023. 4.) Due to a lately discovered technical defienciency, lack of parts supply and weather constraints a delivery becomes unlikely within this year. Is there any way to secure the bonus depreciation, i.e. if the buyer accepts the delivery in Europe and the aircraft is flown to the US in the beginning of 2024? Any advise/hint is highly appreciated

  5. On my 1991 Bravo the dimmer control worked only if the nav lights were 'on'.
  6. I only found one power supply in my acclaim on the lefthand wall in the avionics bay supplying the wingtips. Where is the box located supplying the tail strobe?
  7. We are planing to come from Germany with our Acclaim. We will be camping with a group of planes from Europe organized by a German Plane & Pilot magazine. Will arrive hopefully on Monday.
  8. Thank you Lancecasper. I am flying mainly in Europe so ads-b-in traffic is of limited value. The upgrade is mainly done to stay legal for the few flights from EUrope to the US and back...
  9. I have an additonal question: I am thinking to upgrade to a GTX 33ES in my Acclaim with G1000 . My software version is 401.34. Would the G1000 accept the GTX 33ES in my system or what is needed to get ADSB-out? I am aware that addditonal wires need to be installled from the GIA63W to the GTX 33ES to provide GPS position information.

  13. I experienced the described problem yesterday with an Acclaim after a takeoff in turbulence. The rudder trim stuck in the full right position (=takeoff position). After two subsequent flights the same day with the left leg continously on the rudder in flight I opended the side panel next to the battery compartment and moved the rudder wire slightly. Funktion of the electrical switch came back to normal after that. Learned about the SI from my repair shop last night after returning home.
