Thank you for the info on the panel question I had for you. Did you use your laser engraver for this side of the panel pictured here? I am getting ready to renovate my panel on my M20B and had a few questions for you. Also, going with the Dynon units as well. There shop is in my area (Woodinville, WA) and I am sold on the Skyview units. Who cut your panel?

Thanks,

Chris

Hello, I would like to do this same setup. When you say you powder coated and backfill, Im interested in how that was done?....Did you use a CO2 Laser or Blue Diode? Any way you could provide a little info?

I have a diode laser, 20W i believe it is. (Ortur)  I use a thinner type of masking tape, rub it down real good. Burn through it and the powder. I use Rustoleum white, and just mist it lightly, and follow up with quick passes of a heat gun, mist and repeat until it has good coverage. You can't get the paint to wet or it will bleed under the tape. Pull the tape off. Let it dry a bit and rub another fresh strip of masking tape over the lettering and it will pull the insides of letter O's, D' etc off. The last trophy shop I used (for several panels) had my panels for 3 weeks, then screwed them up. I can cut, powdercoat and engrave, and start assembly in a day now.
