	A few days ago, I flew my Mooney M20F to Arthur Dunn for the EAA Saturday morning breakfast and made a 360 degree full flight video with my wing-cam. I published it on my German channel. I also recorded the cockpit and will publish a multicamera (non 360 degree) video of the flight soon.

	Intentional training with safety pilots and increasing proficiency with each take off!  Lots of fun, great weather, and walking away a better pilot with increased stick and rudder skills.  Huge shout out to Snowbird The Mooney for the great videos and pics from the weekend!!  It's hard to take pics when you're the one flying! ha ha

<p>
	The park was gorgeous. I put on a 360 mount to do some recording, and it turned out great. We only flew in it for an hour. We went up Ruths Glacier, flew around a little in that area, and then spiraled up to pass Denali, then down another glacier (not pictured). Most of the other passes were fogged in, so we kept it pretty conservative.
</p>

<p>
	The other pilots flying were super chill and gave us tips. I kind of wish I had recorded that. Overall, I wish we did it longer, and I wish we could do it again. The weather is shot for the next few days, and then we need to head back to MN.
</p>

<p>
	I forgot the cowl flaps on some of this. I climbed from 6,500 to 16,500 and forgot to close them when we reached the top. Oh well.

	Sometimes you mess up... and I have to admit that in this video I am not at my best... I flew to a recently paved airport and wanted to be among the first ones to land there. However when I got there I noticed that the windsock was missing. I relied on the winds at 1,200 feet and decided to land based on my gut feeling. Well, I WAS WRONG! The winds were coming from exaclty the opposite direction. I bounced and had to go around... You train for it, but seldom you have to do it for real... this time it was for real. Additionally, there were some trees at the end of the runway that looked much taller than they really were...
</p>

<p>
	Hope you enjoy it... and don't be to tough on me... I already chuwed myself up...

	I've decided to try taking some videos of my flying again.    Please don't mind the horrible editing, it's because I'm a horrible editor.   In retrospect I think I would have been way better off not taking a time lapse of the outside, but taking a full video, then I could have synced up the inside and outside parts.
</p>

<p>
	Looking for tips here... What would be a better way to keep the video from being super-duper long (It's already way too long) yet still kind of show the whole flight?   Maybe post a 'full flight in real time' video, and then a short video with just the highlights and have links to where the highlights are in the full video?   Ugh.   Don't know.

<p>
	It was a warmer cold winter day and my wife wanted to see snow. Luckily there wasn't any in NJ so I didn't have to dig my plane out. Flew north to Ellenville, Resnick N89. Flew Linden to Resnick direct but returned on the Hudson passing the NYC skyline.
</p>

<p>
	This was my 2nd time going to Resnick. Last time was in 2008 when my flight instructor sent me up on my 2nd solo cross country to Resnick in a 152. Just my 5th solo in airplane. I don't know what he was thinking because the airport is surrounded by mountains on all sides and one wrong turn or misjudgement of the wind can be a big problem! Looks like it was 53nm, just enough to count as a cross-country from Blairstown 1N7. Took a whole hour but felt like even more doing the whole dead reckoning thing and no electronics at all.

<p>
	Hello Everyone!!
</p>

<p>
	I have owned several Mooneys, starting with a 1984 201, followed by two 252's, two "M" Models and finally my current Ovation and have logged close around 2.300 hours in all of them and flown them everywhere in the U.S and also to see Angel Falls in Venezuela. I found that I could "roll on" practically all my landings in every Mooney except for my current Ovation. I would throttle back approaching or crossing the threshold and then just run the trim in ground effect and they would roll on all the time. This 1995 Ovation has taken me a while to master and I believe that it is because of the slick cowling without cowl flaps making it a bit more tricky to keep the final approach speed nailed as well as the nose not coming up completely after running the trim. Also, the somewhat limited view over the higher glare shield in the 1995 model change the landing "picture" compared to the other Mooneys. I do not use speed brakes on final since I prefer to master the "clean" technique with correct approach speed and believe it "rolls-on" better without them. I did this video on landing the Ovation and hope it helps those that may be interested.
