STC for McCauley prop

Hello Everyone,

I am looking for some help. I am trying to purchase a 1968 M20F Mooney, but with all good prebuys, my inspector could not find a 337 form for the installation of a McCauley prop installed in Canada back in 1991. My understanding is that they are not required to file a 337? Anyway, the local FSDO said if I can produce a copy of the STC and verify that there is no POH Supplement required, just a quick conformance check by my local mechanic is all they need to sign off on it. I contacted the STC Holder, grumpy old man, and he demanded $500 plus a receipt showing a current engine overhaul? I am searching for the required documents for STC SA704NE. Any help would be great as the asking price and condition of the aircraft is a great deal.
