This is my first post. I purchased a 78J in May and my only disappointment has been the interior roominess. Like DrBill, I am 6'2"" with a 34" inseam. Unlike DrBill, I do not have enough leg room even with the pilot's seat in its most rearward notch. Crosswind landings were especially challenging because the yoke would hit my knee when I inputted aileron to offset the crosswind. I solved this problem by sliding the pilot's seat all the way back to its stop. Although this is a very comfortable flying position for me, the pilot's seat now almost touches the rear bench seat. I also found it difficult entering and exiting the aircraft so I removed the copilot's seat which essentially makes my J a two seater. This setup works for me in that 90 percent of my flying is by myself with the other 10 percent being with my wife who really likes all the legroom she has sitting in the right rear bench seat.
