carusoam Posted October 30, 2014 Report Share Posted October 30, 2014 The cam feature on the cap wears a lot. People have reported repairing the cam by adding weld materials and filing to shape. (Ask your mechanic) I am not familiar. Just reporting what I have seen here. Buying new caps is expensive (did that once). I took off w/o locking down the lever and had to buy a replacement...then found the original cap. You are welcome to it for no charge. Probably needs new o rings. RobertGary1 Posted January 25, 2015 Report Share Posted January 25, 2015 Usually you just repair them. Not locking down may just be a need for annual maintenance.
