gwcolwell Posted September 18, 2014 Report Share Posted September 18, 2014 Landing gear failed to come down all the way last week. LASAR has the old mechanism. Just got the following email from them. If anyone can help locating the parts mentioned within, would very much appreciate it. "George, the tech that does the motors has determined that the emergency engage is the source of the noise. He ran it when he first received it and yes it was noisy. He removed the emergency engage unit off of it and ran it and the noise was gone. He took the engage apart and it is thrashed inside. I’m trying to source one but am not having much luck. What is needed is the p/n 40609A and it has the casting number on the outside of the case 125182A. Everyone needs to be looking for this including the people at Columbia Air. May have to buy a complete unit to rob the engage part off of. LA11C2110 or LA11C2114."
