Releew
Does anyone know what the thermal switch is set at to activate the Avionics Cooling Fan? I would like to know the kick in and out temperature and if there is a way to manually override the thermal switch and turn it on. I have a 530 that gets pretty hot and I have not heard or seen the blower activate. Fuse is good.... Thanks in advance for the advice! Jerry 5TJ
The (recently installed) avionics fan in my "C" is not thermally controlled. It is wired to its own CB on the avionics sub-panel. The fan blows when the avionics master is on. The fan does blow air through a small flex SCAT tube into air inlet port on the back of the 530. Perhaps your plane does not have a thermal switch and the fan may just be inoperative?
Releew
Thanks for the feedback...... You are correct. Motor was frozen. Very odd the breaker was not tripped. I check voltage at the motor connector and was getting 23VDC.

Is it a brushless motor? regards ~Marc
