  1. Didn't answer your question corretly. The lights are steady until the draw is increased. When the amp draw is increased the lights flicker continuously.
  2. Yes, everything is steady until the draw is increased, landing light, pitot heat, etc. I was told I need a new alternator.
  3. At night all lightning is steady, but when I turn on the landing I get a flicker. Alternator or voltage regulator?
  4. I sprayed Silicone into the bottom of the housing and the step retracted for about 5 cycles, now it won't.
  5. Wow, thanks for all the great info. Thanks for the website.
  6. I have an M20E which I really like, but am toying with the idea of a Missile. If there are any Missile owners that would like to chime in with their experience, and likes and dislikes of the airplane, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
  7. First oil change today on my M20E by myself. Didn't have stuff to make a trough, but wrapped the filter in a ziplock bag as suggested and it worked great.
  8. Also, my buddy changes his oil every 25 and filter every 50. Sound like a good plan.
  9. This may be redundant, but can't you puncture the oil filter before removing it and open the quick drain? Would that not allow the residual oil in the filter to end up in the engine and then out the quick drain?
  10. I have a 1966 m20e that I might sell and then upgrade to a v35 bonanza or a missile. I would like an IO550 in either case. No pun. I can't sell mine until next year and I'm sure yours will be gone by then.
  11. I have flown the airplane and am acquianted with the owner. Very competent individual, and the airplane ran very nicely.
  12. Did you have to take the headliner completely out to get to the connect point?
  13. What is the reason for the prohibitive operating range in regard to propeller RPMs? I'm assuming it has something to do with vibration.
