  1. Unfortunately I don't have the smarts or time to go through the STC process but I would like to hang a bigger engine on the front of the ole bird. What Acclaim do you have?
  2. Does anyone know if there is a STC for higher HP engine conversion for the TLS Bravo?

Yeah, I use it for the satellite weather but the ADSB weather is starting to provide more coverage across the US.

Yes very glad I selected the package that I did. Since then flying with the equipment has really spoiled me.
  6. Pretty much everything but the vacuum pumps, KLN90B GPS, ADF, Electric gyro, and the VSI.
  7. Lol! I'm doing my best to sell everything on eBay but the final selling fees are taking a huge chunk of it. I thought about listing some of the items here on Mooney Space but just haven't had the chance to do so yet.
  8. Here is the panel before the conversion.
  9. I went electric with battery back up which allowed me to completely eliminate the entire vacuum system and pumps. Took 62lbs off the plane during the whole upgrade.
  10. I just upgraded to a complete new Garmin panel which I absolutely love, I would have to say if you were only going to install one I would do the 750 hands down.
  11. Just and update, I'm in the process of fixing the problem by hanging on a factory rebuilt. During the removal of the old engine they found a few hoses that were chafing on one of the engine mounts that had worn the mount well beyond limits. It was in such a position that the only way to have found it was buy removal of the engine.
  12. Nice looking seats, where did you get them done at?
  13. I just wanted to put this out there and see if anyone had any ideas on how to fix the problem. I have 1700 hrs on the original new engine in my bravo and I just done a top overhaul about 200 hrs ago. I had the top spine on the case starting to seep oil towards the font of the engine and I had a mechanic shoot some silicone under high pressure in the case bolt holes to temporary fix the problem. It worked, and that was about 150 hrs ago. Now I have the same problem on the bottom of the engine and and the top is starting to ooze again. A different mechanic is telling me that the silicone is not a good fix and I should just do a major overhaul. Anyone else had this problem on a higher time engine, and if so how did you handle it? Tommy
  14. I just recently took a four hour flight which had me using my TKS fluid for about and hour off and on. As usual the panels continued to occasionally drip on the hangar floor for the next few days. About two weeks later I had noticed one of my TSK stall strips had completely let go and was hanging by a small pice of glue. I inspected the other strips and found that one on the other side was very loose and about to come off and one other was loos when I wiggled it. So three out of four of them need to be cleaned up and rebonded. Had I just jumped in and took off I'm certain I would have lost them in flight. Im not sure why but all of a sudden the glue decided to let go, I wish there was a way to purge the system post flight.
