  1. Thank you all for your replies. It turns out Michael and I are much closer that I thought. Planning to meet him very soon.
  2. Carusoam - I am considering a trade up
  3. I'd love to get a ride on a Rocket. I'd like to compare its performance against my 231. I live in the Chicagoland area and I'd be happy to fly to any airport within 100-150nm. Anyone available? Thanks!
  4. Hot start: .05 to 1 sec prime. That's it. Cold start: depends on temps. If cold outside:10-40 F, then prime go 10 sec or more. Let evaporate for 20-30 sec, then, crank. No better way. Trust me
  5. Go with Bruce Jaeger. You can also read some of his articles on the Mooney flyer magazine
  6. I would buy the BRS system now it it were available. As pointed out in previous posts, the utility of the plane would increase considerably. And much of the cost would be captured in resale value.
  7. Bravos are great aircraft! Nevertheless, I would rather get a Rocket. Thanks!
  8. Thanks for the suggestion, but I already own a 231 and a 252 is probably not significantly better.
  9. If you have one and would consider selling, pls PM me. Thanks.
  10. 1. I own an M20K. My previous aircraft was a Cherokee. The mooney feels smaller inside. I am 5 08 and I don't need pedals extension. I would say that taller people fit better in a mooney than a Cherokee. 2. I live in Chicago. Feel free to PM me if you would like to take a look at my M20K. Good luck in your search! PS: I am not aware of any plane that can match the M20K in terms of speed, efficiency and price!
  11. Call Bill Zalesky. Instrumentratings.com. You will thank me for the advice. He's the best. My 0.02.
  12. I need to get done a pre purchase inspection in the Boston area. Any recommendation? Thanks!
